People hear the lies coming out of Florida, repeat them to others, or just hear something
from their own local pulpit. It gets passed around as fact.

I have found that many things I thought were true as a child (spiritual and not spiritual) were not necessarily true.
That's why God gave each us our own brains  ! And thank God for the Holy Spirit to teach us!!

On top of all of the heretical teachings of Tod Bentley, which all by themselves should be enough to reject the validity of Bentley's "revival", here are a few more reasons to beware of him.
On one of his videos he talks about God commanding him to kick an old lady in the face with is "biker boots" so that she could be healed.
A pastor of a church in Oregon who was terminally ill with cancer attended one of Bentley's "revival" meetings where he was declared healed by Bentley, he died of cancer one week later.
Bentley claimed that a girl (dead for two days) was raised from the dead while being wheeled to a surgical room to have her organs removed for donation. The hospital where Bentley claimed this happed has confirmed that this was a completely fictitious story.
"If a prophet or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a miraculous sign or wonder and if the sign or wonder of which he as spoken takes place, and he says, "Let us follow other gods" (gods you have not known) and let us worship them," you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. Seems to me that todd's god is very mean spirited individual. This guy is so much full of it that you could grow crops in it. Please take away his green card before it's to late.

It's been asked and answered a few times, but this is "why" God would allow such goings on.
And the OT and Romans tell us also that God will "give us over" to our own desires (lusts).
We can deceive ourselves in the guise of "I'm hungry for the things of God."
Been there, done that, got deceived, and deceived others ----- REPENTED!!!
Jeremiah tells us a false prophet speaks to the wickedness in our own hearts. (reads our mail.)
Sound familiar? It's going on in so many places and in so many churches.
Reading your mail is not a sign to be going after.
The demons can do that. Heard of psychics?
Besides that, you can just question people and they will think you are reading their mail.
Jesus said, "BEWARE!!!!" for obvious reasons.
May our Precious LORD reveal his TRUTH to us as we study.
May he prevent us from "reading things into" His Word.
Take the scales from our eyes and hearts so we can "hear" what God truly says.

His unbiblical exaltation of angels like "Emma" and the "winds of change"
His teaching that every believer is assigned two angels that have the same rank as the believer, and that a believers angels only advance in rank when the believer advances.
His teaching that as a believer rises in rank he is given by God spiritual command over the lives of a greater and greater number of believers. He is their commander.
His teaching that demons of lower rank cannot attack or tempt believers of higher rank, and that as one rises in rank there are fewer and fewer demons that have enough rank to tempt or attack that believer.
The conclusion from this teaching that if Jesus was tempted by demons, those demons must be at the same rank as Jesus because we know that Jesus was tempted by Satan.

Could you provide a link re the above - I would like to read it. I have read quite abit and listened to some of the so-called 'revival' teaching at Lakeland - but this stuff you wrote out here sounds particularly extra-Biblical and unsound.

i mean literally. you watch and listen through your filter of TB research. what is actually being heard specifically that says, "follow other gods" what other gods?
i think that most here don't understand their intended audience. (if your intended audience are those attending or would attend) not understanding your audience is a pretty big handicap in communication.

The speaker was very clear that one cannot be tempted by a Demon whose rank is lower than your own!
If this is true, can you explain how Jesus was tempted by Satan any other way. What other possible conclusion can be made?
Also where in the bible can we find support for any of what was taught by this speaker?
