"Nevertheless, trust that if what I'm doing is of the flesh or of the devil, I will fail, but if what's happening is from God, nothing and no one can quench this blazing revival fire unless God wills it. " I guess that means the Mormon organization is of God. I guess that means Pepsi-Cola is of God. I guess that means the porn industry is of God.. They are all mightily successful.

Oh, yeah, we are to trust "him." what he and those like him don't understand in their delusion is what Asaph discovered in Psalms 73. They APPEAR to be prosperous, etc. but there end is the "lake of fire." No one can quench what he's doing? I see no evidence of any revival from all these "outpourings" from decade to decade. That "fire" they propogate won't be quenched. The fire of hell. I don't care to even have a "touch" of that myself. I'll continue to be content with the "earnest" of God's Spirit of things to come.

Too bad he can't come up with anything original. You're in great company, TB! I was reading up on some of that Kansas City fraud and I noticed that a lot of the things said and envisioned by Bob Jones, TB says the same things and says he's had the exact same encounters. You guys want people to follow you? Listen to these fakes and then just say the same things they are saying. But, you won't like the results of such wickedness any more than they will.

They are all mightily successful. Yep. We've got the WRONG definitions of successful just like we've got the WRONG definitions of anointing. The Body of Christ on the whole does not appear to be "equipped" or come to the "full stature of Christ."

I remember somewhere pages and pages ago the name "Steve Hill" was mentioned in association with TB. Anyone know how they are related in ministry? Thanks

But I couldn't help but thinking that Stanley's church would be considered a dead church by Bentley and any number of Bentley's followers... And that is the irony and tragedy of this movement and the times we live in. most of those people sit quietly in pews on sundays too. what is the objective here this thread? to watch the circus from the detractors box or to alert the unaware? communicating with the unaware will not work if swipes are being taken at them. being entertained by the circus would be wrong whether a supporter or detractor. with that i will probably step out. family funeral now pending.

I think he is opening portals to hell, not heaven. Apparently there are no ears to hear and no eyes to see at Lakeland..............

I may have missed it, if so, forgive me, but did anyone in this thread touch on Bentley's belief his anointing in his kidneys? He believes this because Bob Jones told him that's where it is... "Bob Jones told me one time, he said, “The anointing works in the kidneys - the fat, the kidneys, the adrenaline - it works through the kidneys.” He said, “Kidneys are connected to the anointing. If you wanna see someone persevere (preserve?) an anointing, pray for their kidneys.” People are praying from my kidneys, and I get full (?) - it’s instant. There’s something about eating the fat of the kidneys in the Bible. The anointing is in the kidney - it’s in the fat." - Todd Bentely, Lakeland Revival (April 11, 2008) Can you see IT? Because I sure can't! I guess someone who is on dialysis because they had to have their kidneys removed would not ever be able to receive the "anointing!?! People, this is absolute insanity!

Olee: Sorry about the death in your family. KatD: I read about that too. I don't understand it either. Why would anointing come through kidneys?

ORIGINAL: OLEEguacamole here's a video to confuse things... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEIp11FnuSg I'm not confused. A great video to show the proven liars, John Kilpatrick and Steve Hill attempting to impart whatever they have to Bentley. Hill lied about his drug use in his book. Hill lied about taking a wandering journey across the country while employment records show that he was on his job in Huntsville, Alabama during that time (some kind of tractor parts company is what I recall). I heard Kilpatrick tell the lie with my own ears that deputies were dropping off crooks at the "revival" in Brownsville rather than take them to jail--thoroughly denounced by the local Sheriff and all exposed in the Pensacola newspaper. Bentley's got what they got? Believe it, true believer!

Kilpatrick lied about Brownsville being a spontaneous spirit-initiated revival. Docuements show that he and his wife both made trips to TACF to learn about and "set up" the Brownsville "revival" Both Hill and Kilpatrick made claims that crime plummetted in the Pensacola area and quality of life improved during the "revival". Both were instantly debunked by city authorities! Bentley's circus is nothing more than re-hashed Brownsville, just more "freaky"

ORIGINAL: OLEEguacamole here's a video to confuse things... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEIp11FnuSg I watched this video and others, and it broke my heart. I was at one time totally caught up in the Brownsville thing, so I guess I still had some type of positive feelings toward Steve Hill and John Kilpatrick, even after the Lord showed me from Scripture things otherwise, plus some other stuff mentioned here. So even though I have since repented and rejected Brownsville, I still didn't know I had these feelings for the leadership until I watched the above video. It brought up some memories and pain for me, quite honestly, and for some reason I was just surprised that they support it.

As a father of two daughters (one is 12 and the other is 5) and a former juvenile probation officer, I believe (and this might sound harsh) that child molestation should be treated as a capital offense. Sexual predators are rarely ever "cured" of their deviant behavior, and I would still be wary of one who is born-again Christian. I know God can forgive them, but I would never, ever, EVER let my children be near one in any form of ministry. If anyone with backbone would support capital punishment for child abusers and rapists, they'd have my vote.
