After my posts of being not too enthralled by the sarcasm - here I go -
apologies to those whose tootsies I stepped on.

I wonder what would happen if someone were to drop punch the Ringmaster and once he was down, kick him in the face. When asked why, they would respond "Well, Emma told me to do it".

The man is filthy - I wish I could break his fingers for going anywhere near that little girl. I was very sensitive as a child - and happened to be a little girl myself - I can only imagine how she felt. May God have mercy on this and every other child there whose parents need their head read for subjecting their innocent children to this individual.

Forgiveness was already given.
But, thanks.
Praise God!

I guess someone who is on dialysis because they had to have their kidneys removed would not ever be able to receive the "anointing!?!

People, this is absolute insanity!

June 17, 2008 Update on Bob Jones by Bonnie Jones

Bob has been off dialysis for two months now and his creatine level continues to decrease. That is an answer to all of our prayers. After discussion with the kidney doctor, we decided to proceed with the fistula as an insurance policy. Although we believe God has given Bob a miracle, we felt it was wisdom to proceed.

And that is the irony and tragedy of this movement and the times we live in.

most of those people sit quietly in pews on sundays too.

what is the objective here this thread? to watch the circus from the detractors box or to alert the unaware? communicating with the unaware will not work if swipes are being taken at them.

being entertained by the circus would be wrong whether a supporter or detractor.

with that i will probably step out. family funeral now pending.

OLEE,

Firstly, sorry for your loss. Thank you for always being an active participant in this discussion, I enjoy reading your posts.

I did have some questions so I (and others) can know more where you're coming from.

Did you catch my reply to you from a few days ago?

We can know if Todd's teachings, practices, and claims are biblical or not - so do you, personally, hold Todd Bentley to be a false teacher and a false prophet or do you hold him to be doing the Lord's work?

Ironic? Yes. It's also downright scary. There's just some things one shouldn't mess with.

Some stuff one shouldn't mess with (or do):

* Claim something is of God that isn't (Take the Lord's name in vain).
* Claim that God's "anointing" resides in us like in our kidneys when any such "anointing" should belong and reside with the Holy Spirit (sharing His glory).
* Consort with angels/demons who "impart" "anointings" into one's kidneys.

There are serious consequences to such actions. Bob Jone's condition could be just ironic or it could be consequences.

Oh, I was just saying it was ironic because BJ told TB that the anointing was in the kidneys and then BJ turns up with kidney disease. But, yes, I gotta agree with you...it could be the consequences...and that is scary!

Hill lied about his drug use in his book.

Can you please explain this to me?

And this as well:

Hill has been exposed as a documented LIAR. He's lied about his past numerous times.

2shaye, the last time I checked the link to the Pensacola newspaper Brownsville expose had been taken down. Understandable, that was long ago. There may be other sources on this. What I recall is, that he was claiming to be using some drugs that were said by the Huntsville police to not be in the Huntsville area at the time--early 70's I think. He may have used drugs but not the ones he said--I don't recall what they were. Regarding all the things that were false, Hill was quoted to explain that he thought it would make a more dramatic or compelling story. So it was admitted to contain falsehoods. This info has been out a long time.

It's so much easier just to say "go read the Bible for yourself" than to point out in Scripture that which actually supports your cause.

And it is interesting that someone hits and runs on a email, rather than come onto the boards and have a discussion. More and more I see the more and more I realize that these people are incapable of actually formulating a coherent line of thought for a debate, beyond the "touch not God's anointed" line. Which reminds me...those of us who actually read and study the bible know that that much used verse by the WOF crowd was used towards people attacking and wanting to kill Saul. It should be noted, that despite being "God's anointed" Saul ended up outside of God's will. I dare say we will not see that "God's anointed" in heaven.

I also like how he stated that I am not a born-again believer. I invited him to join us on these boards for a discussion.

Ha ha! Boy, does this person have a case.

And IMO, a prime example of the 'wrong' kind of judging.

Something tells me that they will not show up here.

He is telling me I am not saved because I don't speak in "spiritual tongues".

I have invited him to these message boards and to this specific thread three times now - I cannot commit to email back and forths, so I hope he understands that. If he doesn't, then I will have to simply ignore his emails.

Considering this is all public information - he is his profile from YouTube (where it all started from): HERE

Just emailed me again and said he would not be joining me here. That he was going to stick with the Word and continue to do things in the Spirit.

Oh, they do have a few others...that we:

-have a religious spirit
-worship a little god
-just want to bring division
-have passionless, hardened hearts
-deny the power of God
-are not enlightened

Don't forget that we put God in a box. And also I've heard a Bentleyite use the 'if it's not of God it will die' line in defense of Lakeland. Apparently we aren't supposed to say anything, because God will take care of it if it is false, and warning people only makes us look divisive to non-believers.

I've never seen a "god in a box". Prince Albert in the can is another matter.
