That is really interesting, for I think many men would run from the perfect woman. We also here see a little of what it means in scripture when it says, for while we were but sinners, Christ died for us. The amazing thing is this supermen chose you. He most certainly needs you and your homegrown faith for superiority of faith and love is not in learning or strength but in humility. That is because of your husbands achievements he may well find it very difficult to do the things you find so natural. Champions do not naturally care or see losers? Lets face it even before Christ we will still feel unworthy and yet He chose us!

Thanx Everyone for your reponses. I will take them all into prayer.

I after reading some posts I should make it clear that I am an older woman, but was told a few times that some consider me savvy yet naive.

I have my miracle child who is 2 y/o. (I was told since I was 18 y/o that I would never have them.)

We started marriage counselling, which I suggested, even though we are not to be married soon. In some things I like to plan ahead and be prepared.

Also I have to agree with Bible7, I do not want to make the same mistake and end up in an undesirable relationship. See the Lord loosened me from my first marriage, because 2 yrs after I divorced him he died.

I also discussed with my fiance that I want our marriage to be Christ centered and that I want us to pray together.

I have been pondering on Kingdusts note of: Righteous men failed and fell 7 times, but raised 8 times.

So I will have to open my heart more to the Lord to hear from Him.

My thanx again to everyone

I am glad to hear that you are working together with your fiance and the Lord.

As long as the Lord is in between you and your fuance, you will be fine, even though the two imperfect persons outnumber the one perfect one.

Incidentally, the sermon yesterday was about opening our heart to one another, in addition to the Lord, good or bad times.
The quoted verse was about Paul frankly talking about his fear within facing troubles outside, and got encouragement from his subordinate, Titus.

If the greatest apostle like Paul opened his troubled heart to his spiritual son, less in power and experience, being vulnerable by showing his weakness or shortcomings openly, we ordinary believers have no excuses not to open our feeble heart without any pretense or cover to fella believers, especially to spouse who is to help each, not to destroy.

However, opening heart to one another is not easier than to the Lord, if not near impossible without help from the Lord.

If your fiance has the Lord in him, opening your heart to the Lord should not be too different from opening your heart to your fiance, a bearer of Jesus.

O, how hard it is to talk from the heart without any pretense!
