I had a gas grill that someone gave me (the kind you can get at Wal-Mart for about $100). I used it for a couple of years, but now it's all rusted out on the inside. I'm thinking of getting another one, but I want to make sure the new one doesn't get all rusted like the old one did. I don't know much about gas grills, but I'm sure there are some grillmasters on here who can give me some tips. [:D]

A cover will extend the life of your grill, but unless you store it indoors there's no way to avoid the rust. I live a couple of blocks from the ocean, so I usually have to replace the innards of my grill every 18 months or so.

You probably could repair some of the rust spots by getting some Rustoliem Spray Paint made for grills. That way you could repair spots before they get too bad.
