I'm in a completely desperate state at the moment. My marriage of almost three years seems to have hit rock bottom. I dearly love my husband and we have 2 beautiful children together...I'm holding on and can't imagine letting go. Please pray for us as we work through hurt feelings and issues that we have individually and as a couple. I feel so lost right now as I know that we are meant to be together...our marriage was built on faith and somehow we've lost that along the way. I pray that God gives us strength, allows us to see past our pride and helps give us the words to communicate with each other and the ears to listen to each other without blame or pride getting in the way. I know we both love each other but unfortunately we've come to this marriage with so many scars from our pasts. Some how these scars keep coming up again even though we've tried to deal with them. I want more than anything to run into his arms right now and hold him and never let go. But there's so much pain between us that I don't know when that will happen again. He's basically told me that he's only sticking around for our kids and that if we didn't have children he would have left and not come back. That hurt so much. Lord please help us through this.

I will be praying for you and your husband theough this dificult time. I went through the same thing when my marriage was in trouble. Just listen to the Lord and follow him.

Did you ask him why he feels that way?
sounds like he's very hurt about something, or offended maybe, something you did, or forgot to do, maybe without realizing it , or taking his feelings into consideration.

Ask him what it's going to take on your part ?
to get things rolling again.

Ask him to tell you what steps you/we need to take to make the marriage work between the two of you?


Leave the door of communication open between the two of you , confront him in a loving manner, force his hand so to speak until you both condfront the real issues.

Dear One,

Marriages hit bottoms and tops. I have had my wife throw things at me, threaten to leave and never let me see the children again.

Normally when I was out of line and out of Christ.

I was just reading again the marriage versus in Mark 10. To cleave means to be be bonded together forever.

Father I pray for reconciliation and love here. For UNDERSTANDING AND COMMUNICATION. I claim this marriage for you, and that here the evil one does not stand does not claim this, and will not destroy the marriage vow. Please show each one the first step to reconciliation. Eliminate pride, replace with love and submission.

Father please let the communication flow, let hugs replace hurts.

I pray this in your sons name, even Jesus, AMEN
