God really knows what we need...and when we need it, doesn't He? [:)] Just thought I'd share a few thoughts from my devotion this morning. I Don't Have Time! * I had poured years into making my plan successful only to discover that God resources and empowers His plan alone. * He wanted me to understand that He was calling me to work from His love and acceptance -- not to it! * If we don't set priorities - others will. Time thieves will steal the hours and days as we allow them to impose their plans and demands on us. * ...one priority remains steadfast. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God " (Matthew 6:33 NIV). Once that priority is firmly established, the rest of life will simply fall into place. * I am convinced that much of our frustration comes from doing things we were never intended to do. We create the plan as we go instead of resting in the plan He has for us. * ...have made a new commitment to invest my time instead of just spending it. Lord, as I transition from a job that allowed me what sometimes seemed limitless time with You, I'm gonna have to be very diligent in my time management now. I'm really gonna miss those hours of listening to praise CDs, or just praying as I drove. Thank You for those times...for preparing me for this time....for firming-up my foundation. Lord, I just pray this morning, that You will help be be disciplined in my daily devotions and Bible-reading. Make it the thing I want to get up early for...the one thing my heart needs to start my day (well...that, and a cup of coffee!)." "Thank You for speaking to my heart this morning...reminding me that I'm moving back to a kind of life where I'll have demands on my time from outside influences...and it is MY responsibility to make time for us. Thank You for reminding me this is all in Your plan...all I have to do is "work it." I don't have to stress over finding the right job...You will bring it to me. And I don't have to worry about finances...You will provide. Show me the path You want me to take today, Lord...cuz you know I'm a day-at-a-time kinda gal! I thank You in advance for the journey we are beginning...and for the many blessings You will be bringing into my life. You are a loving, caring, faithful Father. I pray these things in Jesus' name...Amen."
