Wow... that's crazy!

***************************

A little more about my neighbors....

This town is very anti-Christian. There are very deep rooted generational sins and habits here. Very clicky... in a Hatfield's and McCoy's sort of way. So here we are, not just Christians... but pastors! We have received a lot of opposition... and unfortunately... a lot of hatred.

A couple months ago... the Chief of police paid us a visit. It was a business visit. He informed me that a band of neighbors down the street had filed a complaint that I was speeding. We live on a gravel road along the river... you can't speed on gravel without tearing up your car. (I don't speed... I drive between 15 and 17 mph on this road.)

Anyways... he wrote me a ticket. I went to court and plead "Not Guilty" and requested a trial. (what a waste of taxpayers money!) The thing is... we have lived peaceably on this road for almost three years. A few months ago, we placed a "clergy" sticker on the back of our Exterra... and guess what... people noticed. It was then that this started.

We went to trial... the judge heard what everyone had to say... and caught them in several indiscretions. He dropped the case.

It is so sad how Christians are treated here. I don't say this for me... but for those who are new in Christ. How can they stand against the fierce opposition that is out there, when they barely know how to pray.

(pray for the Christians in your neighborhood.. that they can withstand.)
