Im doing horrible.

I am still at 81 kg...stuck there it seems.

I see a nutritionist at my gym this saturday, maybe that will help move things along.

Im discouraged too.

I feel I will never lose weight

I think DoF is saying she's down since the beginning of March. Way to go!

That would be accurate. I've lost 8 pounds since March 6th.

It's exciting...just hope the scale keeps moving in the right direction...

Well, I checked on my scale at home and I am indeed down 1 1/2 lbs. I did eat more than my WW allotment, but I probably ate far less than I had been eating in my no-holds-barred emotional eating phase.

I'm even feeling a smidgen less tired today. Woohoo! Still tired, but I am at least not afraid of falling asleep at my desk.

Getting ready to have my 1st child any day now...and am so nervous about losing the weight! Is walking really as great as it says in magazines and such?!

Oh, congratulations, newmommy! Yes, I'd say it is. But don't stroll -- stride briskly! And use your arms too.

Walking works at first. But it depends on if you have a lot of weight to lose or just a little. I have to walk for more than the 30 minutes a day since I am a smaller person. (you only burn around 100 calories per mile - a slow walk is only 3 mph or a mile in 20 minutes)

Walking will certainly be better than no exercise, and until your body has recovered from delivery, it's one of the easiest exercises on the joints. Of course, from what I've heard from friends who have had kids, if you're able to breastfeed, often the weight loss will take care of itself.

How did everybody do with Easter weekend food-fests? I managed to escape relatively unscathed; dinner at my folks' was a reasonable spread--roast beef without much in the way of calorie-laden sides. I volunteered to bake the cake for my dad's and DH's b-days, so I tried the applesauce for oil substitution (works beautifully!). My mother still loves to put together Easter Bunny baskets for DH and I but because I can't eat chocolate, mine is pretty small.

We shall see tomorrow, when I weigh in, whether I was as reasonable as I think I was.

My sis, her 3 kids, and my mother were all at my house for the week leading up to Easter and then, of course, Easter day. My sister is thin and can eat whatever she wants, which she does, and my mother simply could care less and also eats whatever she wants. It drives me bonkers. I am sure I gained several pounds, as my jeans were too tight this morning. Ugh.

Oh well, it's back on the wagon today and so far, so good. I spent at least 3 hours cleaning my house top to bottom today so I am sure that counts as exercise - WHEW! I bought a double stroller today so I can go walking tomorrow. I'm excited!

Those double strollers are heavy if you have to go up and down any hills. You will get some muscles. I always get passed by people running with those jogging strollers and they are running way faster than me.

This one isn't one of those jogging strollers (I'd love one, though!) and you're right, it's PLENTY heavy. It took up the whole back cargo space in my car. I'm glad it was cheap on Craigslist, because new they are just way too expensive!

I had one before, back when my middle two were babies, and it definitely built some muscles. This time, I'll be carting around my 10-month old and a 13-week old I babysit. We have plenty of hills around my neighborhood, so I'm sure to be out of breath right away. I can't wait!

Yep, I was right. I gained 10 pounds out of the 20 pounds I had lost last year. I have a plan to release (thinwithin lingo) again. 500 calories less per day for a total of 1 pound per week. Walking more and eating less should do the trick.

Well, I'm eating less but my body has so not figured out that it doesn't need the extra food. I'm starting to think that my body still hasn't quite figured out it isn't pregnant anymore; since my miscarriage was induced that wouldn't surprise me. I'm just hungry all the time; I'm following WW and everything I'm eating is healthy and nutritious and filling, but I am still so hungry. I just don't get it. I've done WW before but the learning curve wasn't nearly this still the last time around.

I never do well with an actual "plan". Weird, I know. I do better just counting calories and eating normally but smaller portions. I tend to keep the weight off better that way too... as long as life doesn't become super stressful, 'cause that's when I tend to eat. And eat. And eat...

Just got back from a wedding and a week long car ride. Did not do well. I've probably gained 5-7lb this month which is odd for me.

However it did make me get over my stalemate. I don't mind the actual weight loss process much, but I do hate the feelings of body-loathing, fear, and stress that come with it.

So I decided to make mini-week goals.

I'm going to make a meal plan for the week.
Make a list of healthy foods for snacking.
Take the dog on 2-3 walks a day.
Try to get to sleep at a decent hour.

I went down a pound or two but hope to continue that trend. If the weather is nice I will take a short walk at lunch and after work. I go to different parks on the weekend so I don't get bored.

Rainy days or 2-3 times a week I will go to the gym and do weights or the yoga class.

Well, I went to the gym today. First time in weeks, and first real workout since the miscarriage. I decided I'd had enough with boring workouts to ease myself back into things, and went to a dance class. After all, if I don't enjoy the workout I'm more likely to skip it.

So there ya go... I just needed to pat myself on the back. It's been tougher than I expected to get back into working out; it's been 2 1/2 months but my energy levels are still pretty low. Probably because I haven't been working out!

I weigh myself every Thursday at the vet clinic I work at. I started seriously into my low carb diet on Monday and then weighed myself Thursday. After receiving the bad news at the doctor's office on Wednesday, I was a little afraid to see what my weight was. But... I lost 9 pounds last week!!!!!

I went into Kohl's today to see if I could find a black skirt. Now, I am not the type of woman that can be found shopping for clothes all the time. I always feel so bad after I have tried on things and had them not fit, that I rarely go clothing shopping for myself. But when I walked in there today, I saw lots of cute blouses in the misses section and decided I would try a couple on just to see. They all fit!!!!!!!!!!! Now this is a big one for me because I had been wearing 2X. These blouses I tried on were XL!!!!!! In fact, I tried on about a dozen blouses and 2 dresses, all XL, and every one of them fit perfectly!!! I am extatic!!!

Good for you! I was so excited when I hit that point too. Although for me it was a mixed blessing; I was a perfect size when I was overweight (ie everything fit in all the right places) but once I got below a certain point, nothing fit properly. Everything was too small in the bust or too big in the waist (or both). Now that I'm overweight again everything fits... count your blessings I guess!

This is the exact same problem I have always had when I am "thinner". I think my proportions are just right when I am overweight, but when I lose weight it seems that some places shrink much slower than other places, and some places don't shrink at all :(

For me it's not quite that... eg in my chest I always lose/gain twice as much as anywhere else, but I never lose as much there as I would like to. So by the time I've lost weight all my clothes are too tight in the chest because thinner clothes assume that you're not... er... well, "blessed" with a big chest (although I don't think it's a blessing to have to wear two bras to the gym).

I am down 2.5 lbs this week, and it's my first loss in two weeks! I go to WW, and at my team leader's suggestion I cut out some fruits and replaced them with veggies. Normally she wouldn't recommend eating less fruit, but I was having 4-5 a day, and not as many veggies. I think it did the trick... it was tough because I can't eat some veggies raw so I have to experiment to find out which ones work best, but so far so good.

well I come in here to praise. I'm not sure what the scales are saying, but I tried on my wedding dress and for the first time I was able to zip it up the entire way! (for those who don't know - when I first tried on the dress in January I was trying on dresses two sizes bigger. When I went back to the dress a few weeks later I had fit into the next size smaller, and so I ordered it another size smaller in faith).

I still need to lose a little more so I can "breathe" in the dress, but I have three months left until the wedding. The goal is to lose enough to fit into the dress, but not enough to need alterations. As it stands, the ONLY alteration I'll need is a bustle for the reception. The length is perfect (yay for being tall - no heels for this dress!)

I haven't been "dieting" in recent weeks...mostly watching portion controls. I've also been working on the house, moving stuff out and such. I haven't "suffered" yet. I still eat my sweets but I make sure everything else is healthy or smaller portioned.
