Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need! He lets me rest in meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams. He gives me new strength. Psalm 23:1-3

Good morning, Barb . . . whew!! What a rainfall!! That is a lot for a couple of days. This weather has gotten plum weird! Does anyone else have those verses from Luke that says . . there shall be signs . . . . makes a person stop & think, for sure. Glad you got to attend the baptism. Are things better between you & your DILs? What a rotten thing for them to do. But I hope things are going better (now that they got that out of their system ) We had an uneventful weekend, and managed to get a lot accomplished. Finished the cupboard, moved it in and now all my canned goods are in place -- sheesh we had a lot of those! We could live out of that cupboard alone for a few months, I do believe. We also got the window a/c unit in my sewing room so we were able to do away with the fan that was sitting at the door of the bathroom helping to push some of the cold air into the sewing room. The bathroom is right next to the furnace, so it gets the biggest blast of cool air. I also got my laundry all put away. We also moved the antique rocking chair out of the shed to the house so I can work on putting a new cushion on the seat of it. Sunday I went to church in the morning, but stayed home in the evening and helped Bill get the backyard mowed -- well, helped him move stuff so he could mow it properly. Bill fixed us some steaks on the grill for lunch, and hamburgers for supper . . . guess that was a lot of meat for one day, huh. Sure was good, tho. I also put some tuna salad together for us to eat sandwiches on this week. It tastes real good . . think I'll have some for lunch. Garrett isn't here yet . . his grandpa is supposed to be brringing him later today, but don't know what time yet. Daddy is supposed to be calling me, but I won't hold my breath on that one. Knowing that the time is near for his gf to have the baby, I tried to call him last evening to see if he had Garrett or even if they were home. No answer, so I left a message. This morning I still hadn't heard, so around 7:00 I called & got him out of bed . . . no, gf had not gone to the hospital, but also no Garrett wasn't going to be here early. So I didn't have to rush to the gym real early I have gone now, tho and am back home and showered. Guess I need to get started sewing real soon. For those of you who visit Mo's thread, I got a message from her Saturday saying she expects to get to come home today. I just realized I'd forgotten to go in there and post about that. She's had a pretty rough time with a gall bladder and appendix surgery last week. Ok, gotta get to work

Wow Barb, that is some crazy weather! So did Garrett or the new baby show up today? Hi Cassandra! Hi Maggie! Not much going on here. It's kind of nice and quiet with just two kids in the house. Dee

I'm waiting for my kids to get to bed. Somehow I think I'm going to have to get up from the computer to make it happen. What are you doing Cassandra? Dee

Hi there, Dee . . yes, Garrett showed up about 11:30. We had a good day together. No, the new baby has not made it yet. Hope your kids are in bed by now Hi Maggie & Cassandra. Time for me to head to bed, also.

Thanks for the reminder to go turn my son's light out. I was hoping he'd have done it himself already. Oh well, he was just in there reading. I told him earlier he could read a little bit longer.... He seems to function fairly well with not so much sleep. Good night Leah. Dee

Good Tuesday morning, everyone . . . Prayed for you, Cassandra . . . hope you're feeling better this morning. Our temps dropped down to the 60s overnight . . sure is great to have the break from the heat, tho it's still quite humid. Could rain again today, from the looks of it. Garrett's not here yet . . . haven't heard anything, so not sure what's happened. Guess they'll let me know sooner or later. In the meantime, I guess I need to be sewing. Should have started before now, but was waiting to get him settled with the TV How far did you get on those photo albums, Barb?

Barb, my mom's been working on her photo albums also. She's been quite pleased with her progress. Cassandra, I pray that that ball in your throat will go away and you'll be healthy and strong for camp. Hi Dee! Hi Linda! I don't know if I've said it here yet or not. I'm going for surgery on Thursday to have my gallbladder removed. I thought it would be day surgery but because of my sleep apnea they will be keeping me overnight. I've been busy, trying to get ready for this. I bought a nightgown and a loose-fitting dress yesterday so that I have something to wear after surgery and I bought some stomach-settling foods like ginger tea, ginger ale and yogurt. I need to clean up my computer/paper mess in the dining room and would like to get my bedroom clean and tidy too. I also have a few calls to make and I'm washing ds1's sheets and will remake his bed so it's fresh for him when he returns from Europe. Ds4 slept in ds1's bed while he was visiting from Vancouver so they needed cleaning. I have today and tomorrow to do anything that's to be done and tomorrow I'll be out at the doctor's so I need to do as much today as I can. I wish I wasn't so tired.

Awww! You're sweet, Barb. Truth be told, if you did live near me and made that offer I'd probably have a hard time accepting. I'll get done what gets done and everything else will have to wait. ds1's sheets are washed and dried now, so that's good. Half of my dining room mess is also cleaned up. The phone calls aren't hard to make and yet I procrastinate. Silly me. A ten-year-old French girl somehow found me on MSN Messenger and has been chatting to me. It's rather disturbing, actually, because not everyone she connects with that way will be safe. Her name is Lina. Please pray for her protection. Her English is limited and so is my French so I'm not able to talk to her about the danger.

Praying Cassandra. I wish I was motivated to do my albums. I'll bet it feels great to have so much done Barb! Try not to stress about what you can't get done Maggie, just take care of yourself! That is disturbing about Lina, praying for her. I'm enjoying the coolness (relatively speaking) here too Leah. Dee

Today in the mail my 4yo received a Webkinz that she won from the local Christian radio station. We didn't know she'd won. Coincidentally I responded to a Freecycle offer which resulted in my driving to the same radio station to pick up some ceiling tiles. All on the same day as my 10yo son was wearing a t-shirt from that station. Dee
