ORIGINAL: Sideways Well, I don't think that just because a person is intelligent means that they can't believe in God. My husband is an actual genius and he believes very much in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. But no, Obama is just a human being like all of us. He is not a demon, angel nor enlightened white light or whatever... He's just a man, loved by God, but flawed and sinful. Is he an ordinary person? No. Nor would I want a presidential candidate to be. I'm not one of those folks who thinks that it is a good thing for the president to be "an ordinary guy". I want my president to be much more intelligent, much better educated, and much more charismatic then me. I want a president who is embarrassingly superior to me, not just embarrassing. (And by superior I don't mean superior in the eternal sense.) Wow. No wonder even the elect will be deceived. Care to elaborate, or do you just like making snippy one liners? Do you like having a President who brags about getting C's in college and never goes deeper into an issue then the executive summaries that other people prepare for him? Sure, intellect isn't everything, but it is something. I just love folks who snip "Well, he has education, but I've got common sense." As if the two were mutually exclusive.[8|] For the record, I also happen to think that McCain is a strong, charismatic, leader, and definitely very, very intelligent. I'm looking forward to studying both men very carefully.
