My life is full now! I shall die in peace!

Yeah, Darling -- that was one of the best I have seen, and the rest of you? FUNNY!!

Sure it can! Does anyone know a Japanese Jew who would like to get into the restaurant business?

Just send some Jews to Japan for training.

I can just see it now, the knives flashing as they crack Jewish jokes.

In hindsight, I'm wishing I had voted "Who Cares?" instead of "Yummy!"

If you find a good Tapanyaki place, it's no different from going to the Chinese Buffet after church on Sunday.

Adam

PS, if anybody knows of a good Habachi/Tapanyaki place in KCMO, holla at tha playa!

This thread is hilarious!!!!

I voted that you should go there if you want. One little restaurant in my neighborhood has a Buddha, a Ganesh and a Cross all nailed to one wall.

Is a Hibachi restaurant like a teppanyaki restaurant? I love both, especially with some sake!

What's a teppanyaki restaurant?

A hibachi restaurant typically has 8 or so seats around a large grill. (Your group may be sitting with strangers.) The chef prepares the main course of your order right in front of you, usually with a flashy show of knives, spatulas and jokes.

That's the one. Yes, when most people think of a Hibachi, they are actually thinking of teppanyaki.

Should a Buddhist eat in a Christian restaurant if Christian idols are present?
I doubt they would notice or rattle their brains analyzing it.

Wow, what a funny conversation.

I never thought about it, but then again, I never have visited this kind of restaurant. The closest I've ever come is Chinese take-out, and I'm guilty of reading the horoscope or whatever it is they provide on their menus.

I'm just curious - seeing some topics on here make me wonder if I'm sinning just by being alive.

Christian idols? The term is in itself a contradiction.

OK.. Since you've misunderstood the question, I'll ask it another way.

The term "Christian idols" is contradictory because the Christian would pay attention to the command to NOT have any graven images. True?

ETA: You've got some strange ideas of idols BTW.
