Good afternoon Dear People. Yep, more than enough plenty of baseball fans around here....of which I really am not much of one by any comparison to Christi, Lynn, Santa, James & Gary as best I recall Kerr/Mike...thanks, good to be back & did you notice Dorene can make cheesecakes and not drop them on the floor, or if she does she didn't tell us Yep, we do luv Mike and Cindy.... haven't personally met either of them but luv 'em anyway We might all like to have one of those accords to which James so loonylike wittily referred.... Personally, whether or not I intend to make a fashion statement, I usually end up wearing BBQ sauce every time I eat BBQ and I feel sure I'm not alone in that Me too also don't do hot weather very well at all Siestas are wunnerful and naps are healthy... grab one every possible chance is my motto We haven't met, Janis, but yeah the unimportance of Fridays takes on a whole new meaning to us retirees...lol Glad Santa's dr. apptmnt went well today At the moment, that's all I recall of ya'lls posts and since it's gonna' take a while to get back in the groove of multiple quotes, etc, just bear with me, as usual I'll be hangin' 'round a while this evenin' as far as I know. ETA Guess I won't be hangin' 'round. Sister just called wants to visit a friend who needs cheerin' up. Catch y'all later..........

WRONG EMAIL ADDRESS This one is priceless..................... An Illinois couple, Bill and Phyllis, decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier. Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So, Bill left Illinois and flew to Florida on Thursday, with Phyllis flying down the following day. Bill checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an email to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her email address, and without realizing his error, sent the email. Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory following a heart attack. The widow decided to check her email expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and fainted. The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read: To: My Loving Wife Subject: I've Arrived Date: January 16, 2008 I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones. I've just arrived and have been checked in. I've seen that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then!!!! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was. P.S. Sure is hot down here!!!!

Sure been quite in the forums for the most part today. Hot lazy, hazy days of summer got everyone down. Think I will go have a dish of Breyers Cherry Vanilla ice cream. Have not tried the Breyers brand of this flavor before.

Breyers Cherry Vanilla sounds DELICIOUS!!! How was it? I love what I do so I'm not one of those who necessarily look forward to Friday being the last day of work but it does mean I can (hopefully) get some laundry done tomorrow (with the emphasis on some). I almost put that I hoped to get caught up on laundry but that may be a bit ambitious.

Are you a Braves fan? When we lived in Maryland, we got more Braves games on TV than we did Orioles. I don't think I was ever a big fan of theirs, but it was fun in later years watching Glavine and Maddox pitch. They were too good though. I think I tend to route for the underdogs. For Grandma's sake, I'm REALLY hoping the Cubs make it to the Series this year. If that happens, I will route for them.

Yes, have been a Braves fan for many, many years. Even before the Glavine, Maddox days. Actually most of my life, even when they were the Milwaukee Braves.

The Breyers Cherry Vanilla ice cream was good. But to my taste not as good as Krogers Country Club brand Cherry Vanilla. To me CC is much better. Don't usually buy Breyers but it was on sale. Remember most have reduced their sizes from 1/2 gallon to 1.75 quart sizes. Only Blue Bell is still a full half gallon from what I saw yesterday at Kroger. But it is over $6.00 per half gallon. Just can't bring myself to pay that for a 1/2 gallon of ice cream. And after that report I expect to hear from the Breyers and Blue Bell ice cream lovers. Remember, this was just my humble opinion.
