We were born in Oklahoma City, moved to Colorado for a short while, back to Oklahoma and then to Georgia! We've been in Georgia since 1959. Think of it as home (at least for now).

Except that I was in Mt. Pleasant, SC for about a year back in the 70's.

Mt. Pleasant was really nice, but we didn't get to stay long. So, Lynn, you're in Mt. Pleasant and not Charleston?

So far, Mark and Jim are in 1st and 2nd place, respectively, for having lived in the most states (10 for Mark; 9 for Jim), for a combined total of 15 different states, PLUS 2 different areas outside of the U.S. (1 for each gentleman).

Way to go, guys!

I know some of us have moved several times within the same state (and sometimes even with the same city), but for this post, I was specifically counting different states.

I was born in south Alabama near a small town called Florala (Florida /Alabama border). We moved to Branford Florida when I was 9 months old where I now reside. We moved back and forth some in Florida, but I have been in Branford continuosly for the last 40 years. The only one I noticed that had lived near me was JimC who lived in Lake City at one point. That is 25 miles from Branford.

Santa,

I'm really concerned now because I thought Santa never got lost. Should we go together and get you a GPS?

Just keep in mind that on Dec. 24th I have Rudolph to lead the way. Otherwise I need a map for sure. But from what I've heard of the GPS system it will get you there but not necessarily the most direct route. At least the people that come to Hidden Mountain resorts that use their GPS don't get there the easiest way.

I was born in KY but moved when I was a baby. (My siblings say that's why I act the way I do.) We lived a couple years in IN and then I spent my growing up years in the MD/PA area. We then lived a couple years in TX, a couple in IN, and have been in MI for about 13 years I think.

Although I haven't lived in a lot of states, my brother and I have counted 20-30 times that we've moved. (I can't remember the exact number.)

Then there's all the friends we've helped move. Mom mentioned one time that she wondered if we should go into professional moving. I'm convinced that was NOT the Lord!

I must say that i'm blessed to have been in SC all of my life. I did live in Boone, NC for 3 months for a job. Then I just spent a month in WV. So far I like the Carolinas best.

The Carolinas are beautiful. If I could choose a place to live, I would choose TN, NC, or VA (probably in that order). I do miss the mountains but if I moved, I know I'd miss the Lake. It's really true that contentment comes with being in the center of God's will and, since I feel like that's where I am, I feel very blessed to live in MI and am trying hard not to complain about the mosquitoes.
