Sarah, thank you for all the good news. I think even the 6 to 9 month thing is good news. Assuming, of course, that someone's insurance pays him lost wages, as it should. Being home for the baby and the surgery that Donna is having is going to be a good thing.

yup....it isn't too bad. he will get to spend lots of quality time with everyone, go fishing, relax a little and heal up good.

God can do anything!!

AMEN to that!!!!!!!!!

awed -> RE: PrincessDonna's Encouragement thread (7/23/2008 10:53:07 AM)

Thank all you ladies who are talking to Donna and updating us here.

Donna and Brian have been the first thing on my mind in the mornings and am sending prayers continuously along with all the other prayer warriors here.

debilyn -> RE: PrincessDonna's Encouragement thread (7/23/2008 11:44:15 AM)

I, too, say thanks for the updates. I'm praying for Donna's strength and a calmness that will help both her and the babe. I'm praying for Brian's recovery, and for the kids. It must be really hard for them, too.

Lord, keep them safe, give them strength and patience for recovery. Keep them all in your loving hands, granting them a special measure of your peace during this difficult time. Provide for all their needs, as well. In your name, Amen.

HisCovenant -> RE: PrincessDonna's Encouragement thread (7/23/2008 11:48:11 AM)

Thanks for letting us know how we can pray specifically, Sarah. I'm so glad she has you ladies who are calling her and expressing all our prayers and love to her.

Any word on when he may be able to get home, or will they just have to see how he progresses after the surgery? I am thinking about how Donna will make it having a newborn and a healing hubby to care for at the same time. Will she have any help?

momma_bee -> RE: PrincessDonna's Encouragement thread (7/23/2008 12:06:52 PM)

Don't the kids count?

I'm doin' what I can Donna!!!![sm=praying.gif]

HisCovenant -> RE: PrincessDonna's Encouragement thread (7/23/2008 12:08:45 PM)

I think they are a bit too young to be of much help... although some, I am sure. [8D]

momma_bee -> RE: PrincessDonna's Encouragement thread (7/23/2008 12:13:50 PM)

I was chuckling at the idea of them being young enough to be TOO MUCH help.

From some of the things she's posted about Hannah, that just may be a problem! [8D]

It sounds like they have a very loving and supportive church family. I'm praying they will be able to come around this family and help them during their recovery.

she sounds much better today y'all. I called her this morning. She got some sleep and a shower. Brian is starting to make more sense and settle down...
She's planning on taking a night off, his sister and dad are going to spend the night with him. So hopefully she'll get on here and check in.
Sandy

That is good!

Thanks for the update Sarah. [:)] Six to nine months isn't so bad considering what just happened to him. And God can provide for them and help out Brian! I am also thinking that Donna will feel a bit better after sleeping in a bed tonight. I am still praying for all their needs. [:)]

Donna has an awesome church...and her mom and sister are very close, as is Brian's sister. So she has a lot of family, plus church family to help with the kids. I've visited her church a couple of times, it's a church I would be proud to call home for sure.
Thier insurance will indeed pay lost wages, that plus disability ought to get them through just fine. Donna said his work was getting all the disability paperwork done for her, at least as much as they can.
Thanks for the info Sarah, when I called her this morning all of that was 'gonna do's' LOL
I hope she gets on tonight, that would be a good distraction for her I think.
Sandy

Ellie-Mae -> RE: PrincessDonna's Encouragement thread (7/23/2008 12:53:32 PM)

Saw Noah today. He seems to be doing better today at VBS. He was picked to help with the closing today. He got to handle items and report to the audience about them so the audience could decide if they thought that different items would sink or float. He was really enjoying himself. He has a good time in front of people.

firefightermama -> RE: PrincessDonna's Encouragement thread (7/23/2008 12:54:56 PM)

Donna, I'm leaving tomorrow, but even though I can't post all weekend, I will sure be praying for your family the whole time I'm gone.

Much love to your family!

lol...yeah when she called she said she had already talked to you and everyone from her church is doing VBS, so she said it was my turn to hear her news that she just had to spill to someone...lol.

that's good to hear Lisa. Have you heard how the other kiddos are doing?

HisCovenant -> RE: PrincessDonna's Encouragement thread (7/23/2008 1:10:41 PM)

I am so glad she has a really great church family as well as relatives!

Ellie-Mae -> RE: PrincessDonna's Encouragement thread (7/23/2008 1:16:29 PM)

No. I know that Hannah is in VBS, but in the preschool group that I don't see so I haven't seen her. I wish I could be more helpful.

The reason I tell the stories about Noah is two fold. It gives a tiny insight as to how he (the one that knows the most) is fairing, and I want Donna to have the stories.

peculiar_lady2 -> RE: PrincessDonna's Encouragement thread (7/23/2008 1:36:46 PM)

yeah...she will be glad to read it all later. she said she is keeping a journal too.

PrudentWife -> RE: PrincessDonna's Encouragement thread (7/23/2008 1:58:40 PM)

TwinCityGirl -> RE: PrincessDonna's Encouragement thread (7/23/2008 6:12:41 PM)

Donna, would this be a bad time for me to announce I'm pregnant with #2?

Okay, just kidding. [;)] I just want to do SOMETHING that makes you smile, though. (Did it work?)

Praying for so many aspects of Brian's healing and thanking the Lord that He has His hand firmly on everyone in your whole family and so many others right there in their outreach toward all of you.

xo, Donna,
Jeanie

(I really am just kidding about #2.)

Ellie-Mae -> RE: PrincessDonna's Encouragement thread (7/23/2008 6:16:36 PM)

It sure made me smile... I thought that you said that you were pregnant with #27!

Then I looked again and saw that it was "2?".

Flintejae -> RE: PrincessDonna's Encouragement thread (7/23/2008 7:41:50 PM)

JEANIE!!!!!!! My heart just skipped a beat because of you!
