Status: offline 		SweetLittleErin had Isaac Terry early this morning after just about an hour of "labor".
They went into the hospital to be checked out after she started bleeding...got there and found out that she was fully dilated. He was delivered a little while later (they had to get the neonatal crew to that hospital from the other place). She doesn't know much about him, but
ISAAC TERRY was born.
He is 2lb. 14oz.

He is now at a larger hospital a few hours from their house. He was intubated so that he doesn't get very worn out, but he is doing good...came out squirming and pink. Erin's dr is going to come and release her in a few hours, then they will be heading home to get their bag and camera and such, then going on up to the hospital where Isaac is. She said there is internet there at that hospital, so she will be on later.

Status: offline 		ok...off the phone....it's hard to type all that info while talking on the phone.

Like I said, they will be heading to Isaac's hospital later on today. She is going to try to nurse still, so she will talk to the LC when she gets there. She isn't sure about his length yet...but she said he is long and lanky (like Klay). She will try to update all that when she gets it (either by calling or by posting if she can get a connection).
She doesn't know for sure how long they will want to keep Isaac in the hospital, but it could be until full term (which is at least another ten weeks). She doesn't have much information on him at all...will get more details when she gets to where he is and talks to the dr's there.
Erin is doing good...her BP is going down slowly...she is in relatively little pain. She is just now coming down from her adrenaline rush of the birth, so she is going to try to rest a little before her dr comes back in to release her. Klay is doing ok too.
She said also that her mom is surprisingly not being annoying (neither is her brother right now). Her mom is not to keen on driving in the big city where Isaac is, so my guess is that she won't be too much trouble because she won't be there very often.
Erin's SIL was up there earlier and said that they have a camper that Klay and Erin can use to hook up there at the hospital where Isaac is so that they don't have to drive back and forth as much (it's about 2 hours from where they live).


Anyway....she is still in a state of shock almost.....of course that even happens with full term babies to a point, where you just can't imagine that you aren't pregnant any more. She really shocked me though...I just kept saying "WOW" on the phone.


ok...well, I have her cell phone number so I will try to keep updated if she can't post anything.

I read what Janine wrote, and I thought... "no, it's too early!!" and I started to pray immediately.
I am exceedingly happy that he seems to be ok, and that everything went smoothly... and that he is even able to breathe on his own!

I will continue to pray for you all.

yeah she said if she had gone to full term he more then likely would have been a ten lber...lol

Anything over 2lbs is actually quite promising. I think the rule of thumb is that preemie babies are often in the hospital until their original due date, just like Sarah said.

Well congratulations to Erin and family, and continued prayers for them all.

I read this and almost started bawling. I am in complete shock. I love you very much and will be praying for you, Klay and little Isaac. Thank God he is breathing and doing fine. I will lift him up in prayer so that once he makes it to term he will be healthy and happy!
