ORIGINAL: LoyalGypsy Sorry about that Dad... Dad all in all ....what actually makes a song a classic? Truthfully I have no idea in the first place [:(]... is it similar as to how they would rate an automobile...per say? , or certain amount of years ...or Top 10.....amount of music awards? That's a good question. To be serious, it's pretty subjective. In my world, Classic Rock died the day kids turned their backs on the guitar gods and adopted Grunge. Some think it all got started when the Beatles saved music from the The Beach Boys, but to me it really began with the greatest band of all time, the mighty Led Zeppelin in '68. In any case, I judge any song to be non-Classic Rock if it would have merited someone a severe horse laughing back in 1980, dressed in our 501's and white tennis shoes. [;)]
