My plans for this evening were cancelled by the weather, so I'm staying hiome and relaxing. I didn't feel like cooking, so I heated up a can of soup instead. Our weather is quite cool and rainy this evening, so it turned out to b ea good choice.

I went on vacation to Yosemite after reading "John Muir: The Eight Wilderness Discovery Books" by John Muir. I was over-whelmed by the beauty of his writing and had to see it for myself. It was a remarkable trip. I felt I stood in the hand of God. Tonight: Make dinner for my fireman Watch part 1 and 2 of the National Parks programme on PBS

Hopefully go to bed early as I have to get up around 3am tomorrow morning... Well, all depends on how the schedule goes. So far I'm still on the flight... so are the other 9 flight attendants yet the aircraft doesn't have that many crew seats. So I'm in for some surprises until then. I'll probably read a little before going to bed

What a great programme! The music is excellent, too. Trinigirl, the commercialization is still happening on private land around the national parks, as well as the public land leased to private parties. Some of the development is very ugly when across the road from such natural beauty. Tonight: Dinner at the Carnegie Deli Mophoses/The Wheeldon Dance Company at New York City Center

Tonight: Dinner at the Carnegie Deli Mophoses/The Wheeldon Dance Company at New York City Center Hi, BelleWeather: Yes, I've read about some of the commercialization in areas near the parks. I get the National Parks Service magazine, so I know they are concerned about development that will affect the aesthetics/ecology of the parks. I think the most recent issue was related to a proposed Walmart site right across the road from an historic house in a national park? (Or something like that.) Makes me cringe at the sheer greed and ... I don't know what word to use ... of some people. Do they not have an appreciation for heritage? For the beauty of God's nature? Oh well, I'm getting off topic, so to get back on ... I watched TV and cleared the floors in my apartment tonight because management is sending someone to steam clean the carpets tomorrow. Yea!!!!!
