In thedivabrat's place work is not naughty. It is a bother and usually not fun and unfortunately necessary but not naughty.

I said it was not naughty but I did not say it was nice.

Those of us in this little corner of the world have been blessed with a mild winter season. It has been a bit rainy and occasionally cold but for the most part quite pleasant. My prayers go out to those that are being hit hard by storms and power outages and damage do to trees and debris falling and flying.

I had the whole week end off. First in a long time. Spent most of it sleeping. That was nice but now I feel like I didn't have the week end off. Silly I guess--I did like being lazy--and now it back to work.

Hope y'all had happy week ends

Did you watch "the Game"? I didn't--in fact I am not sure who played--how's that for living in a cave?

Hi Divabrat, I didn't watch the game at all. I am just not into sports at all.

I not into sports much either--and I don't have a TV so watching isn't an option.

Do you watch much Tv? I used to but it has been a year of no Tv for me. Thought I would miss it but I am fine without.

While I am not generally a heavy tv show watcher per say, I tend to keep it on on the background a lot, such as right now.

Sometimes I can just focus on forums, other times if I am feeling anxious, it works as somewhat of a comfort for me.

Yeah, sometimes when you're alone, the TV can make you feel like you're not. Of course, so can God, but he doesn't make audible noise (at least not in my own personal experience ).

Yes Rebekah, so true! This is one of the reasons why I like talk radio, you feel like you are making a connection. Which reminds me, a talk show host that was let go over a month ago here for syndicated host has been hired back in his old shift. I am looking forward to hearing him back on the air!

I listen to NPR but just the music and mostly late at night. For some reason I have a hard time with talk radio--my mind tends to wander. Actually my mind tends to wander a lot of the time--never can keep track of it.

I am in a bible study and we are studying Acts. I am learning a lot of course. And some of it is quite thought provoking. Today I was thinking about how small the world of the first century church was and how big our world is today. But then I came to realize that if you consider the technology we have today and how we can speak to people all over the world and see them too--well the the world back then and the world today are about the same. Also we still face the same challenges and opposition and battles today that the early church did. Not much of the world has changed. Which makes me very happy that though "I am in the world--I am not of it".

Isn't it awesome when you learn something new--even though the lesson learned has been sitting there for the longest time just waiting for you to learn it.

Well that's my two cents for today...

Hey OneofHisJewels,

I am so blessed to be a part of this study. Been involved for about 7 years--every year we study something different--and the fellowship and love among the women is incredible.

Thanks for stopping by--come again--door is always open.

Oh man; how tempting!

DivaB, I LOVE the smell of jasmine! In fact, that's the scent I wear (except it's in a roll-on oil form; not perfume).

But alas, green tea has caffeine in it, doesn't it? I'll have to forgo the tea, but I'll just sit here and soak in the lovely fragrance,

Well I have been neglecting my place it seems. It has been a busy time just with this and that kinda stuff.

I went to a fellowship dinner last night and had a very nice time. But I am tired today. Of course I did work 10 hours today. I am finding that I can still do what I did when I was younger but now that I am older it takes longer to recover.

The kitties are fine but my girl is a bit senile. She gets disoriented and scared sometimes and does this yowling thing--sounds like she is crying "mom". When I go get her she just wants to be held and petted. I guess getting old is hard for all creatures.

Hope all is well in y'alls worlds...

Hi Mike,

It is kinda funny with the cat--but worrisome because she is 16 and has chronic pancreatitis and arthritis. Poor baby--the aging process is difficult for her.
