...achy. I just spent 3+ hours standing in line for a funeral visitation. The fella was killed in a vehicle accident, and the whole town turned out to express our sympathies to the family we love. One of the ladies behind me went for a couple of walks around the block to remain limber. The family will still be receiving people for another 2 hours. And I probably saw 20 people leave w/o seeing the family.

... like... well, I don't feel cause I am keeping my 10-year old cousin number 1 in my thoughts. As I'm writing this, she's probably still in surgery. Yet again. She was born a premature and at 3 weeks had a knot in her intestins. Unfortunately they were not able to save her intestins in time and she lost the bigger part of it. Since then she had been fed through a machine. In the beginning 24/7 but they managed to arrange in such a way she would only have to be fed at night, so she could have somewhat of a normal life during the day and play with her sister and eventually go to school. Last year in May, she had a liver and intestin transplant. Luckily her body didn't reject the donor organs, but they have been struggling getting the intestins to work and keeping her blood values normal all the time. Just over a week she was admitted through emergency. Her bigger intestins had come lose from the smaller and she's received blood transfusions every day since then. I don't know what kind of surgery she's having today, but I should know more tonight. She has amazed the doctors over and over again with her strength. And surprisingly she hasn't been admitted to the hospital as much as they expected she would. The doctors aren't sure what else to expect and how to treat her, how to get her intestins to work, how to keep her blood values normal every day.
... tired. Still. Like I could have used a little longer in bed. But I have yet another night flight tomorrow and hopefully when I return from that flight... we'll land a bit early so I can change at the office and go straight to Church. So I'll need to move my butt now and go to the mall cause I'm running out of powder and contact fluids. I also need to do some grocery shopping and get myself a mailbox at the post office. I want to try and stay up for the bigger part of the night today so I can sleep well into the afternoon tomorrow.
... not so happy with a pilot's flirtations on today's flight. I feel like I don't want to have a name badge but a badge that says "If you're married or have a g/f, don't bother to flirt with me". Even though it's ok according to their religion, I could never do that. I remember one guy saying he's married with kids, looking for a girlfriend. He said he might consider marrying that girlfriend too, but no kids with a second wife. I was and still am shocked that a man can think and belief he has the right to deny a woman having children of her own, enjoying the comforts and discomforts of a pregnancy, the miracle of having a heart beat under your own heart. If both don't want children, that's something else.

right now, I feel bummed out. It's Canada day and there's a lot of celebration going on around town, but I'm not sure if I should go. I'm still waiting for my swine flu test, and I don't know if it's a wise idea to be around big crowds. I'm bored being at home for the past 5 days and I still have 1.5 week off work, but i can't go anywhere other than go for a walk by myself. I'd love to go to the parks...that would probably be ok, as long as I don't go near where all the people are.
I'll probably watch the fireworks with my daughter....

...sad that my sister and my mom are gone. They will be in Central America, well, my mom for a week and my sister for a month.
...dissapointed, and wondering what God has in store for me.
...excited for my "break" in a week! All my closest friends and family will be gone, so they'll be nothing to distract me from Jesus....for a whole week (or more! actually)

Just got back from a girls night out. Went to the Habitat for Humanity Re-Use store. It is a place where they recycle all sorts of things from houses they renovate. The had some doors that were 50% off I am thinking of buying. I have a sliding glass door that is 97 inches wide and a paint to open and close as the wheels under the door are broken because the door is to heavy for the design. I replace the wheels once a year, but this year the door is in such bad shape if I try to take it off the track it will fall apart. So I am going to get two regular doors and then fill in the left over 20 inch gap with something, haven't figured out that part yet. But I am stoked about picking up two doors for 60.00 total. A new french door system installed would cost me 2,000.00. They also have a haning lamp like the one I have in my kitchen except instead of it being a burnt orange color like what I have it is pink which will go much better with the red, blue and green floral pattern I have going on the cabinet doors. That is 10.00. Oh and they have other things there that really get the creative juices going. Wow I haven't thought about this kind of thing in ages. The doors are a must the light fixture is a maybe as it is not a necessity. I called one of the guys from up at church to see if he would go over to the store with me next week to get his opinion on the doors. I hope they are still there. Also had a great Tex Mex dinner and went to see Gosts of Girlfriends Past at the dollar movie theater. Cheesy but nice.
