"My friends, you bow to no one." ~ Aragorn, Return of the King

(Just watched this again last night and that line made me cry for the umpteenth time. I like to envision heaven like that - looking around at all the lives you've touched that you had no idea about at the time.)

Also from RotK:

"I can't carry the ring, but I can carry you." ~ Sam

"I saw death." "But there was also life." ~ Elrond and Arwen

Okay, I'll bite. More from Foghorn;

"That gal reminds me of the highway between Dallas and Ft. Worth -- no curves."

"This here's a chicken...D...O...G, chicken!"

"That boy's more mixed up than a feather in a wirlwind."

"Well, Paint me green and call me a pickle!!"

"Whatcha, I say, whatcha got there boy? Hmmm...looks like sodee-pop!" *shake* *shake* *shake* "Watch it fizz!" *KABLOOOOOEEEEYYYY!!!*

"That boy's as sharp as a sack of wet mice!"

"She reminds me of Paul Revere's ride - a little light in the belfry."

"That boy's just like a tattoo...gets under your skin"

"That womans as cold as a nudist on an iceberg."

Pretty much anything from Full Metal Jacket, Office Space, or Dr Strangelove is classic, though the Dr Strangelove lines don't work as well outside the context of the movie as do the other two.

As a former Marine I can tell you that that's the closest Hollywood has ever come to capturing what the boot camp experience is like. Well, right up to the part where the SR. DI gets whacked, anyway. I love the first half of that movie. Drill Instructors are the funniest people on earth.

I think both halves of that movie are great; they're just very different. I actually didn't like the part where the DI gets shot - mostly because I don't like Vincent D'Onofrio as an actor (in this or in L&O:SVU).

No, I did! Don't you remember? I told Hermione to tell you that Seamus told me that Parvati told Dean that Hagrid was looking for you! Seamus never actually told me anything, so it was really me all along. I thought we'd be alright, you know, after you figured that out.

Who... who could possibly figure that out? It's completely mental.

Since everyone's taken my favoritest movie (Princess Bride), here's some lines from another of my favorite movies: The Last Starfighter.

Alex: You mean they're DEAD?
Grig: Death is a primitive concept. I prefer to think of them as battling evil, in another dimension.

Alex: It'll be a slaughter!
Grig: THAT'S the SPIRIT!!
Alex: NO! *MY* SLAUGHTER!

Grig: Don't worry. I'll have it all figured out by the time we reach the Frontier.
*alarm*
Alex: What's that?
Grig: ... the Frontier...

And of course Serenity (since we're doing movies I can't pull in all the great Firefly lines)
Dr. Simon, to River: It's okay to leave them to die.

Operative: You are not the plucky hero, the Alliance is not an evil empire, and this is not the grand arena.
Inara: And that's not incense.
*explosion*

Operative: I want to resolve this like civilized men. I'm not threatening you. I'm unarmed.
Mal: Good. *shoots him*

Guard: You'll have to give me your authorization password!
*Jayne fires a full-auto burst into the vault*
Guard: Uh, Okay!
