Garcy, I know that cough only too well. Especially since I have had three babies, other things happen when I cough. But I took my prednizone today and I am still feeling tight and coughing, but not as much as I was earlier today. According to the pharmicist, if I am not better by tomorrow, I should be going back in. I have never had it this bad before. Only once before did I need an ER, and they only had to give me a breathing treatment. This time, I had two of those, plus all of the prednizone they gave me, and I am still on another week of it. The dose isn't as high as what they gave me last night, but they said that the 80mg was kind of like a boost. Now I have to take 40mg for the week. But our weather here has been hot and cold. Literally. One day in the 60's then in the 40's, then in the high 50's and back down. That doesn't help. But the kids didn't skip a beat. Today while I was trying not to be up walking around alot or even talking since breathing itself is hard, they were sassier than sassy. So it is good to know they aren't worried about me and think I am dying or something. But a little peace and quiet would have been nice. I don't think the codine is helping my cough and is doing nothing to help me want to be tired. I have used my inhaler so much today and that is probably why. I just can't wait to see my own doc. The funny thing is that the ER doc never laid a hand on me. He did listen to my breath sounds, but never checked my neck for swollen glands or pushed on my abdomen like they usually do. Doesn't that seem weird? I mean I could have some type of infection causing this too, but they heard that I had a history of asthma and that is all they went for. Anyway, who has to change their clocks back. While I hate the darkness, I love the first few days where you feel like you still have that "extra time."
