Its my belief that all should be allowed to attend church it is God will that none should perrish that is y he sent Jesus to die on the cross for the whole worlds sins. In this fallen world we live in we need to do our part to bring all that does not know jesus as lord and savior so no matter who they are or what they look like or what there past is for we all have a past and there is only one way to be free from that past and that is by coming to know Jesus. But All should be allowed to attend church to have the oppertunity to come to know the lord.

This topic has come up in several threads around the board of late, but I can't find a generic thread for it. Some believe church is only for believers, some believe everyone should be allowed at all times. Some believe membership is only for believers, some believe it isn't. etc.
I personally believe that no one should be turned away from the church, but I also believe membership is for believers only. And I also believe that leadership positions should be filled only by members.

The church is the body of Christ Therefore only Christians can be a part of it. This doesn't mean we don't let anyone else in but it does mean that the church was never designed to be the main evangelical tool of Christ.
If the church is the place for the believer to be edified than it would stand to reason that we need people in it that will do this. To many church's have let people in that pretend to be Christian get elected into places of power and change the belief of the church.
Ok so if the church is for Believer than the believer is for the world. We are required to evangelize, live as Christ would have us live, and love not only each other but the people of the world as well. We are not called to tolerate sin but we are called to love those who sin.
