FOX, and only Fox is news America must listen to?

At least Fox gives both sides of the issue, unlike the others I mentioned.

And if you work a 10-12 hours shift in a "non-essential" job to feed your family, well.....poor people don't need to vote on stuff they don't understand anyway; Right?

There can be options put in place for those who really can't get to the voting booth. As for people, rich or poor, voting on issues they don't understand .................. DUH!!! That's a truly dumb comment, even coming from you.

Who's I.D. law?!

Your link to The Nation article .......... what's the problem? If people don't care enough to get the proper ID, they shouldn't vote.

One of the things that needs to happen so that we don't have any more debacles like that of Nov. 4, is to take the mass media (ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, NY Times, LA Times, Washington Post, et al.) out of the equation. All of them are nothing more than mouthpieces for the DNC. I know there is "freedom of speech," but what happened this year was over the top.

FOX, and only Fox is news America must listen to?

Another thing that needs to happen is to stop all the illegal voter registrations and early voting. There is too much opportunity for voter fraud. All voting should occur on the first Tuesday in November as it was supposed to be. The only exceptions should be for military and other essential personnel who might not be able to have time off.

And if you work a 10-12 hours shift in a "non-essential" job to feed your family, well.....poor people don't need to vote on stuff they don't understand anyway; Right?

Thirdly, voter identification and verification needs to happen. No ID, no vote, end of discussion!

Who's I.D. law?!

There's ample evidence to the contrary, probably enough for another thread.

Hey man, YOU made the statement -

I was just replying to the fact that NO early voting favored the well off

I know, you get REAL news and insight from the likes of ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, NY Times, LA Times, Washington Post, et al. If that's what appeals to your superior intellect and your compassion for all of mankind, knock yourself out.

If that's what you believe, go for it.

You obviously misunderstood my response. I was trying to say people should not vote on issues they don't understand. That's only common sense (at least to me).

I think that's debatable.

Off topic, but I hope everyone has a terrific Thanksgiving!

Actually, I seldom watch any of the major network news outlets, including the hallowed FOX. Don't read any of the hated newspapers you cite. I mostly use the internet and try to get info from conservative and liberal sources. FOX is just so funny because of their pretense of being "fair and balanced".

ManimalX -> RE: Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected (11/26/2008 10:45:18 PM)

How is FOX unfair or unbalanced? They consistently have liberals, moderates, conservatives, etc. on their panels. Is it FOX's fault that conservative values and principles always end up being correct?

Of course they aren't unbiased, that is a non-existent goal, but you are MUCH more likely to get MUCH closer to the truth of a story on FOX than any of the liberal Obama-mania media outlets.

What does working 10-12 hour shifts have to do with not being able to vote on election day?

I work 13-16 hour days four out of the five I work and I voted on election day.
