Hi Rach, how are you doing?

Doing good. Let us know how jury duty went. I remember I had to do that a long time ago. It took 2 days to find out they didn't need me. Boring sitting there, better bring a book to read while you are there, so you will have something to pass the time with.

Hey Mike, you posted this verse in the What was the first Bible verse you memorized thread:

quote:

Philippians 1:6 (New King James Version):

"Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."

I just wanted to say thank you because I really needed to be reminded of that.

Amen Roberta, I am really glad it helped!

In other news, I have Jury Duty tomorrow.
Tell me how it goes either here or in my thread. I'm interested. I had it two years ago. Never did sit on a trial but did go to the selection a couple of times then had major surgery and got out of the rest.

YES...CW is buggy...and so is facebook.

Pink Carnations...I love that verse and it was just what I needed to hear today so THANK YOU for bringing it up. God is good isn't he?

Hi Ginny and Rachael, it went well considering. They called the jury pool into the court room. I was the first number called. After calling all the jurors, they started calling random jurors up to the bench: first # 3, #5, #8 and then #6. After they were done with that, I had accepted that I was going to be on the Jury, the defendant judge walked back to the judge and within seconds they said #2 back to the jury pool. I was #2, so I was bewildered but relieved!

Ginny, glad that the verse was helpful to you also!

BTW, I didn't get the job, apparently they are trying to renew some contracts and such. As a result, they cancelled the job openings until this gets resolved. They still want me to stay in contact with them though and said to call them if I see anything new on their website for any new positions that I might be interested in as well.

Hey Mike--your thread needs reviving! Hope all is well with you. I'm missing Boston, though we hope to go in Monday. Are you still at the same job?

Hi Joy, I am doing ok, but did have a very tough week though. I am just relaxing over the weekend now.

Hi Deb, yes, I am still at the same job, at least until God either moves or pushes me out the door instead.

BTW, I started this thread with a video: How One Man Can Make A Difference. It is a very inspiring story and well worth checking out!

I like this song too! A friend of my daughter's recommended she hear it and we looked it up on youtube. Do you know anything about this band Mike? I don't know if it is a Christian one or not and we usually only listen to Christian music. This is a great song regardless though.

I do not know much about them at all other than no less than 3 radio stations are playing it here in Boston. Someone did start a thread in Music about the artist, they do not like them at all.

As of 6PM tonight and 10 hours later with 3 different sign in sessions over the weekend, I am finally all caught up with my backlog of forums reading. I had subs all the way back to October 13th or so.

I've been removing a lot of subs.

Hi Roberta, yesterday when I logged in I had 134 unread subs! Those were all from this week alone, but included a few that I posted in/subscribed to last Tuesday. As it stands right now I have just only 2 unread subs left. Yes, I have done a real lot of reading since yesterday! As far as unsubbing, there are only about a 1/2 threads or so that I have thought about doing that to.

I have been thinking about unsubbing to the threads that haven't had a new post in them for awhile and then trying to find some new ones. I might do that tonight. Maybe...

If I haven't posted in a thread in about a week, I've been unsubbing. When I logged on today, I only had 27 unread subs.

Generally speaking, if no one has posted in a thread, then there is no real need to unsub from it, however I guess the mods that be would know better though.

Its been slow this weekend. When I logged in this AM, I had something like 17 additional. On my next log in I had 7. Finally at this log in I had 13, but swelled up to 15 while I both revived an old thread and started a brand new thread as well.

No need to get all technical. I just like keeping my sub pages to 2 or less. Then I can be sure my unread subs won't get out of control like yours do.

I've just been doing it on my threads that pop-up on my unread sub link. They're still active, I just haven't been posting in them.
