Gremlins - it was set during Christmas, right? [;)]

I also enjoyed Christmas Vacation, Christmas Story, and Jingle All The Way.

Add White Christmas to my list. It's hilarious! [:D]

I haven't been able to find A Christmas Story or Christmas Vacation on TV yet this year, so I took matters into my own hands. If you're interested, you can buy both and Elf in a special 3-DVD set at Target for $32.99. [:D]

Not willing to wait til Christmas Eve I take it? They ran it the first weekend of December, but not again until Christmas Eve.

How's this for an untraditional, non-sectarian Christmas movie, sort of[8D][;)]...

But more in tune with the topic, here's my list of sorts--that at least takes place during/around Christmas:

The Negotiator
Ronin
The Long Kiss Goodnight

This (and Eraser) are my two favorite action movies. I had forgotten about the Christmas aspect.

I agree!

Die Hard was a great Christmas movie. It filled me with holiday cheer. In fact, it is great to watch anytime of year.

My all-time favorite Christmas holiday movie would have to be Jack Frost. Not the dumb one with Michael Keaton, but the one with the killer snowman. It's so stupid that I laugh my head off every time I see it. And the best part of the whole movie was the circumstances that led to them figuring out how to stop the killer snowman. Priceless!

It's a Wonderful Life

White Christmas
Scrooged
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (love Burl Ives singing!)

Scrooge, a Christmas Carol

I have seen most of the film versions, but this is by far my favorite!
The ending is priceless!

I can relate to Scrooge at the end of the film, because that was my reaction when I finally gave up my stubborn resistance, and accepted Christ as my savior. An unstoppable feeling of joy and peace.
God bless us, everyone.

Miracle on 34th Street (both versions)
Santa Clause Is Coming To Town
A Year Without A Santa Clause
Charlie Brown Christmas
