I once heard that miracles are more common at Christmas time. Obviously, there's no Scriptural basis for this, but does anyone else believe/know that to be true? Is it wrong to ask for one at Christmas and hope it will come true?

It is never wrong to pray a prayer of petitin and have the faith that if that petition is within God's will that it certainly will come to pass; (1Jn 5:14) And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: (1Jn 5:15) And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. Thanks RC

I believe people are more willing to believe in miracles at Christmas and thereby are more likely to see God in action. I believe miracles happen every day. However, a lot of people will dismiss them or rationalize them. At Christmas time, people are more likely to suspend what they consider "common sense" and will actually allow themselves to see miracles for what they are.

Let me tell you about a Christmas Miracle. One day (always), there was (is) a living God. And He decided to come down to earth in the form of a human baby. To live amongst us, talk to people like us, teach us, heal us and even raise some of us from the dead. This only happened 2000 years ago or so. Not that long ago really. A living, real God walked upon this earth and was seen by people like you and me. Yet today, many people either don't believe it; or can't quite fathom it out in their mind.

No it isn't wrong...in fact the Bible teaches us to always have HOPE.....and says without hope man is most miserable.... There was also certain "seasons" in Bible times when God moved...such as when the angel came to trouble the waters and one could be healed when they dipped in the pool.... The Book of Revelation is filled with prophecy based on time and circumstances. Whatever it is you are hoping for...keep hoping and praying. God's timing is not our timing, but His timing is perfect...and that is why Jesus was born when He was (which was not Dec. 25). Dec. 25th is just a day we choose to celebrate His birth, but the miracle of Christmas is available everyday to those who believe.

I just feel that people are more caring around Christmas which is a great opening for god to use them in a good way.

It's never wrong to ask for a miracle, God is in the miracle business and he isn't limited to Christmas. Also remember what is a big thing to you, is just a small thing to overcome for the Lord. Remember he loves you.
