Happy New Year, ladies. I'm almost at the end of my first day of the year.

A couple of you have sent me pms regarding my prayer request for my dd and I to find a new place to live. I thank you for your prayers. Basically, what it comes down to is that my sister and I are very different people and we raise our children very differently. I am getting to the point where I don't even want to be around my nieces anymore. I love them very much, but quite frankly, they are violent, noisy (think of the kids on one of the Nanny reality shows) and foul mouthed. My sister feels that my dd has a constant bad attitude and gets away with too much and spends too much time locked in her room. It is simply not good for either of our families to be like this.

Roberta, I hope you can find something suitable soon. Can't be easy for you, your daughter, or your sister and her family. Light and dark really can clash, can't they?

A hand written note might be the thing to do. No telling how long it will take for them to get to see the link. I have a step-mom who is a smart woman, but I can't convince her to get herself to the library and try out the internet. She's a letter writer and loves to get hand written information. (granted, it would be nice to get e-mails from her. Her handwritting can be a bit hard to read at times)

I agree. A hand written note might be the way to go. If they don't use the computer much, they'd get the note a lot quicker. And it's something they can keep looking at.

I'm not really into much in the way of modern technology. Yes, I come on CW, and do emails. I sort of know how to use my mobile phone. I like hand written notes. That's just me though. That, and our computer is so old and breaking down so much, I wouldn't be able to see the video anyway.

Trish, That is how my in laws are. I know, once they see a movie of their grand kids they will cherish it, but I agree, we need to hand notes as well.

Well, I thought I had a place for my dd and I to move too. I found out today that it wasn't going to work out. 
I met with some ladies at church today for my first sewing lesson. I was supposed to learn how to knit, but the lady who teaches that couldn't come. We were making lap blankets for a nursing home. I didn't think I'd catch on to sewing, but I actually made a complete baby-sized blanket!

I hope you find a place to live soon.
Well the knit stitch and the purl stitch are very easy. Knitting is hard when you have to increase and decrease because your stitches have to be exact or they won't line up. At least if you sew you'll have your seams in a straight line lol.
Glad you enjoyed it. Learning to sew is on my list. Especially if they close the stores that I shop at. Ugh.

Well, after my dd's birthday (next Sunday) I plan on starting a baby blanket a neighbor of mine who is due the beginning of Feb. I'll get her a different gift if it doesn't turn out. LOL!

MARRIED TO A MILITARY PILOT ~ PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR TROOPS! 
I'm thinking about making video thank-you from the kids to the relatives, what do you guys think? Most of the g-parents can't receive a video by email, but I could send a link to my blog... I think it would be cute, and they would love to see the kids live and in action, but I'm not sure if it is the same as a written thank-you note.
. Poor guy. I sent DH out with the other 2...here we go again, I hope we don't all pass it back and forth again....I REALLY hope DD, who is still in diapers doesn't get it...I don't think I can take that again!
