Since I will be leaving the job that I have had for 28 years in March. My perfect job would be something halftime. I would be earning some money to go with my retirement and I would still have time to pursue other activities.

Are you retiring then? I am so looking forward to retiring in the not too distant future and hope to work part time.

Hi Mike.

Yes I am retiring. I work for the state, and the state system lets a person retire when their age and years of working add up to 85. I have the 85 points now.

Do you have any idea as to what you are going to do? People always me why I want to retire and how I could stand having "nothing to do". I don't think that will be a problem--there is so much to do/enjoy.

My options are up in the air. I am involved in a relationship and I may ultimately move to be with her. But I will probably look for a half time job here or down there.

What makes you think of home? And what makes that place home to you?

For me rainy foggy days make me think of home. Where I live now it is sunny most of the time and I like it but occasional rain and fog make my heart feel good. Also, home to me was where my mother was--she is gone now for many years but home still seems to mean mom.

Welcome Terri glad you came to visit. I am subbed to your PFY--like to keep up on the happenings. The job thing is a bummer--hope something comes along for you. Looking for work is the hardest work anyone can do. And never fun.

Home surely is a place to relax--maybe because it is a safe place for most of us. It is my sanctuary.

Great! Did you bring tea? If not there is usually some here. Make yourself at home.

The week end is here--what are y'all up to? I am working a long day tomorrow but have Sunday off. Sure hope we are busy at work so the time goes quickly.

So many of you post from work but that is absolutely forbidden where I work. Anyone "playing" on the computer is given 1 warning then it's clock out and don't come back. So I will be back late --but come on in and put your feet up and be comfortable--

Chores and errands here, too.

Hubby and I are talking about buying a business in May/June (a pizzeria). If/when that happens, management will be permitted to visit CW during working hours ... providing there are a few moments of downtime ...

Which comes first chores or errands? For me if I do errands first the chores just don't get done. I love errands.

Have a good day--be good to yourself.

Have you wanted to own a pizzeria for a long time? Do you (or have you )work in one now? Not to take your fun away but maybe there won't be too much down time for forum fun while at work.

Well I am off to the working world myself--have a good day--there is some tea on the table help yourself.

Sometimes the smell of soap makes me think of home. Other times certain songs will also.

It will be chores, errands, chores and errands. I have to start Saturdays listening to Car Talk on the radio. I can start my laundry while doing that. Then I have to go to the bank. Then back home to watch basketball on TV and do more chores at home. When the games are over then I will go to the grocery.

And be good to yourself today.

Songs by the Temptations and the Four Tops make me think of my first apartment--when I lived in that apartment those groups weren't oldies but goodies--they were top ten
