Kinda sorta Mike. I have a facebook page but seldom ever go there and really don't have a clue how to use it! Lots of days I don't get a chance to get on the 'puter at all and when I do I tend to hang around here.

Whoa, I didn't even notice the 5000! How'd that happen?

Are you on facebook? I suppose I really should try to figure it out...

please forgive any typo's- my kitty is helping me type! She's turning into quite the 'puter kitty! She loves to be up here when I'm online, but she rubs her face on my fingers while I"m typing, and sometimes walks on the keys!

Hey HSGA, I didn't notice your typos at all, your cats are trying to vie for your attention, I see.

Yes, I am on Facebook, while it doesn't take as much time to get caught up with people on there, it is still quite time consuming sometimes.

Facebook can indeed be time consuming, but it's enjoyable.

I like Facebook. It is a good way to know what everybody is doing and where they are going. I especially like seeing the pictures people post.

I hope you get an appointment right away, Mike. Be sure to tell them the whole story so they know you need to see the dentist right away.

Gma, My boy catkid is on my lap as I type. It is ok but he likes to rest his head on my right arm and then complains when his head get moved around.

Is it a new kitty you have? I don't remember you mentioning a kitty.

Good to see you, Dude. Been praying for you. Hope all is well.

Hi Diva and Divafriends.

The kitty's aren't new Diva- and aren't "kitty's" either, lol. They are my DS2's cats. He is living with me at the moment - too many moments actually, but then there it is.

Anyway, one is a very tiny calico and the other is a long hair orangeish. The orange one is a big kitty! When she is sitting with her back to me she looks like a basket ball - with ears. When she jumps up on the bed she feels like someone just dropped a bowling ball on you! The tiny one is just the opposite, you don't even know she jumps on the bed. But she likes to be right up near your head- sitting on shoulders or on your chest... and help with typing, of course.

Hello Everyone,

I have been busy with stuff--just stuff--nothing exciting.

Did visit the dentist. Not fun but he does give me the gas that makes you not care that someone is hurting you. 3 more visits and I will be done. Something strange happening to my teeth these days. Maybe they are just old I don't know but they are expensive.

Trying to decide if I should get a flu shot. I have never had one and don't think I have ever had the flu. But the last couple of years I have gotten nasty colds with upper respiratory complications. But I hate to take any kind of "optional" meds. Decisions-decisions.

Gma--kitties are like children they never grow up. I am such a softy when it comes to cats. I would love to have a dog too. A Boykin Spaniel maybe--but it really isn't an option now. Maybe when I no longer work.

Dude--do I remember right that you are looking for a job? I think looking for a job is probably the hardest work there is.

Mike--have you been to the dentist? Are you feeling in better spirits? Been praying for you.

Now I am going to make like I am accomplishing something in this office--bills to pay and stuff.

I've always been a "cat person" too. I also love dogs- yellow labs are my biggest weakness, but I also like the schnauzzers, we had the minatures but I would have rather have had a larger one. Every now and then I almost weaken enough to get a dog, but then I remember how hard it is to be gone when you have to find someone to take care of them. Cats are so much easier!

Hi Diva, HSGA, and James!

I set up an appointment with the dentist for this coming Saturday. It is a good thing that I did set up that appointment. My tooth is not hurting nearly as much now and had I not, I would probably just avoid it instead.

Its been an up and down week, I did make it church today which helped, but the city is still really getting to me though. I know some people think otherwise or are oblivious to this, but Boston really is "different" than most cities!

So glad you are going to have what is left of your tooth taken care of. It may not be hurting now but if left as it is it will.

I have never been to Boston. I live in a kinda small city and being in the south it is a pretty polite place. It is funny cause I grew up in the suburbs of a big city so this city seems small to me but big to the natives.

People are not so high strung in other areas of the country: particularly the South and the West Coast. The Northeast is another matter though.

As far as the tooth, they are probably not gonna pull it when I go, I have to go for a consultation first.

That always gets to me, the consultation thing. I can understand it if they have never seen you before or if it is going to be major. But for the most part I think it is just another $75-$100 in their pocket.

Do you think you will be asleep when you do have the work done?

This is a bit crazy I know -- but I love to be put to sleep. Don't know why I just like how it feels as you go under.

Just another "unique" aspect of being me.

I am sure that I will be quite awake, but honestly I haven't really thought about that at all. I just know that they will likely have to get out the scissors to cut below the gumline.

Mike, I had seven teeth pulled earlier this year. Four in one visit, and three the next. He didn't put me to sleep at all. All I got was novacaine, but he did a great job with making it numb with that. He didn't have to do any cutting, either. It went really well and the healing was pretty quick. It was sooooo much better to have them out because they were so painful in. One of the teeth was on the bottom - that one went well, also. No cutting involved.

It is a dreary rainy day. Sometimes I like this kind of day but today I feel dreary. I think I will go back to bed. I am supposed to be at work--but I am not.

Hi Boots, I am happy for you, unfortunately I will not be so lucky.

Thanks Mike. I am feeling less dreary. Slept most of the day. So tomorrow will be a fine day I am certain!

Why do you think you won't be lucky with your surgery? Are you going to have general anesthesia? Really that is easier in my opinion cause you are out and when the nasty stuff is over you wake up. Always good to sleep through ugly.

Hi There Divabrat,

...because my dental work will definitely require cutting of the gums and the surgery on the tongue also. This will be quite painful in the end!

Maybe the doctor is taking the long way round. Your end should not hurt at all.

Seriously tho--there will be pain but probably not unbearable and it will be for a short time. I have had a couple of oral surgeries requiring cuts and stitches--although my tongue was not involved--it hurts but truly not for long. Just take the pain meds as directed.
