Been awhile since I checked in. I have been lurking around with little to say lately.

Seems fall has arrived. Turned my furnace on to get the chill off. Still don't need it all the time tho. I love the chilly mornings and nights and the cool days.

I have started some Christmas gifts. I crochet. Have finished 3 and starting the fourth. I like to crochet--gives me time to just let my mind wander. Also a great time to meditate and pray. I have a habit of praying for who the person whose gift I am working on.

BTW Mind wandering is different than drifting. I tend to drift at odd times (and often not at the best of times) and usually don't know where I have drifted off to--tho I always seem to like where ever it is I have been. When mind wandering I come away with having learned something or at least remember what I have been thinking about.

The kids bible study is coming along quite well. We are getting to know each other and we are enjoying our time together. At least I am having a good time--and I am told by their mothers that they are too.

One little boy said to me the other day, "come down here" So knelt down to be at his level and he said "I am going to hug you" so he did. Then he said "now I am going to kiss you" and he did. Made my day!

I do not know how much they are learning--I hope they gather some little bits here and there--but I am humbled by their love.

When you stop by make yourself at home. Leave a note so I know you have been here.

Leaving a note as requested!

How sweet about the little boy! I love kids... they are the absolute best at showing love.

Hiya Diva and Boots!

Maybe the doctor is taking the long way round. Your end should not hurt at all.

Seriously tho--there will be pain but probably not unbearable and it will be for a short time. I have had a couple of oral surgeries requiring cuts and stitches--although my tongue was not involved--it hurts but truly not for long. Just take the pain meds as directed.

I just got my dental claim, they are questioning one of the extractions and want more proof regarding it. I hope that it all works out ok and they pay it.

Hey Boots and Mike.

Yeah Boots little boys are the sweetest people.

Insurance can be a bother, Mike. But usually it works out. Be patient--the doctors don't want insurance tie ups either.

It was a beautiful day here. Cool and sunny. Took a short walk to the library--very pleasant.

Had a ton of catalogs in the mail box today. Can certainly tell what season is on the way.

And the stores have lots of displays out already. I guess they are trying to get as much out of the Christmas season as they can and with the economy sales are going to be hard to get. I understand the retailers but still it is kind of pushing it if you ask me. And no one has.

By the time Christmas comes everything looks old and tired and kinda sad.

End of rant.

But what do y'all think of all this? Do you shop early or all season? Is your gift giving going to be different this year?

Well I live 5 minutes from the mall. If you wait til the week or two before than Christmas shopping is cheap. Do not do this on a weekend though. If you can go during the week during the off hours and kind of know what you are looking for you can get it done real quick. We don't spend go too crazy on expensive gifts during Christmas, so I don't really ever cut back on gifts and we only buy for a few people.

Hi Diva and Jill!

They start with Christmas earlier and earlier every year it seems. The Oldies station here is already doing an audio stream online, but has not moved it over to their over the air frequency yet. I am sure that they will do that within the next 10 days or so. Last year we had 2 Christmas music stations here and both of them flipped just before Veteran's Day.

Hi Giggles. I remember when I worked in a mall the best time to shop was 5 til 6:30. Most people were just leaving work or having supper or getting kids set for the evening so the mall was pretty quiet.

I do very little shopping. I have no family to shop for so it is just a few friends. No big expensive gifts--mostly something I make or bake or a small thought gift type of thing.

I do send a lot of cards though.

The Christmas music gets on my nerves after awhile. I like the music but 24/7 is too much for me.

A store that I worked at sent us music we had to use. It was a chain so all stores were to have the same "sound". One year we had Rap and Hip-Hop Christmas music. Now that really was hard to take all day long!

Oh my Divabrat!

BTW, on a different note, I further looked at the dental claim that they are questioning and I actually have a copy of the x-ray of the tooth on-hand. So it should all work out ok afterall.

That is good, Mike. Should make the appeal a piece of cake.

Are you all healed and able to eat what ever you want now?

Ha. Yes that is the time when I usually go. Dinner time and the time between people getting home from work and then going to shop. Either that or early in the morning during the week.

I like country music but cannot stand country christmas music. And Taylor Swift's Christmas album is the worst and the radio station won't stop playing it.

I like Christmas music (preferrably Classical and traditional choir type music) but it does get to be too much. Gonna get the Ipod ready.

When I think of Christmas Music, I almost always inevitably think of Jim Neighbors Christmas album featuring "Go Tell It On The Mountain," but that do not play that one on the radio anymore at all.

Hi y'all.

Been a stressed week. A lady I know died Monday. I did not know her well but saw her fairly often and we would chat--she was funny and kind.

Then a good friend has had a difficult situation come up. It is something that could be devastating if not dealt with now with patience and wisdom.

But God is good--this is His day and I will rejoice.

Anybody have plans for Thanksgiving they would like to share?

I pretty much think chocolate makes anything worth eating--but you are right about the sushi.

Do either realize that Sushi is not really refering to the raw fish. The raw fish is called Sashimi. Sushi refers more to the rice. If you like rice ten you just may like Sushi

This is very true. But most people think of sushi as the whole bit wrapped together with rice and maybe seaweed too. Me, I'll take sushi/sashimi any way I can get it!

I like rice--but I still pass on sushi even if it is the rice part cause of what comes with it.

Thanks Mike.

The lady who died is with the Lord now so as sad as it for her family and friends there is joy.

My other friend is trusting God and knows all things work for the good...

Having a nice Saturday here--weather is beautiful after much rain. On my way to the library to get a movie they are holding for me.

Later y'all

BTW, when you were a hair stylist, did you cut mens hair at all? Just wondering.
