Gosh, no one posted all day! Oh well! What's new with me? My five for Sunday ...

1. WOOOOO HOOOOOO!!! We just found out today that my wonderful DH has been selected for promotion as of (on or about) 01 June 2009 ...... yay!!!! I'm so proud of him (and I'm pretty excited about this!) Of course, he'll have to get all his uniform insignias changed (as well as his ID card) ... but he's got 4 months to get that all in order! (Doing the Snoopy Happy Dance!)

2. On Monday we're taking one of our kitties (Emily) in to the vet -- she's lost a tooth and we want to make sure everything is okie dokie.

3. We decluttered part of the garage this afternoon, since the weather was so nice.

4. It's supposed to be 69 and sunny here tomorrow (Monday) .... very unusual for February!

5. Free breakfast at Denny's on Tuesday, Feb 3 (nationwide) ... one free Grand Slam per person from 6am to 2pm at participating Denny's -- check yours!

Hi there. Just getting subbed for the month.

Harvie, are we supposed to be doing five things for every day?

I was thinking that might be an interesting thing to try ... totally optional, of course.

So... for some reason that list thing isn't appealing to me today. :)

I'm wondering something though. My mom and sisters want me to "give my ex another chance." But, they've taken it to the extreme, or are starting to go that way. I have no feelings for him; he moved away a couple of years ago... I'm really not even interested in being his friend or anything. He never abused me physically, but did mentally. I think at the time I stayed with him because I had self-esteem problems and didn't want to be alone. I still struggle with that a LOT, but I do NOT want him back. I don't want to go out with him or anything. I have no feelings for him, and even if I were alone and had him as a choice, I'd just be alone. It's just not happening.

But, he came into town this week and my sister and mother had set up a date with him w/o my knowledge. I told them no, and I told him no. Now my mom doesn't really talk to me except to take stuff away from me that she'd given me (like the other day I didn't have gas and she told me I could get a set amount on her card to get to school and back, and she tried to take it back but I'd already gotten the gas). She treats me poorly when I'm home and gives me the cold shoulder.... all because I won't date who she thinks I should. I honestly don't even get it. It's like she wants to be my puppet-master, but I'm not cooperating. I can't even figure out how to handle the situation.

We may need a photo of the laptop-sleeping kitty!

Oneofhisjewels ... actually, nope ... I really didn't pay that much attention to whether Feb 1 was Saturday or Sunday ... lol! Thanks for noticing. But since I turned the page on the calendar, at least I knew the month had changed!

Good idea Harvie!

1. I am getting ready to go pack some more. We're moving in 11 days!!!!!!!
2. All my pets are either sleeping or being quiet which is really odd.
3. I am doing 2 loads of laundry at the moment. I love doing laundry
4. Our landlord annoys me and I let him know that. I believe he is now scared of me.
5. I ate the last of my chocolate last night. I am not impressed.

Harvie, Maui hey?! Cool! I didn't even realize your husband was home with you. I guess I'm behind hey? Good for you and your healthy eating diet! That is exciting for your hubby! Congrats to him!

((((((((Jewels))))))))) I hope you can get to the gym. It might help you feel a bit better.

(((((((((((((Tamara))))))))))))) Lorne's parents didn't want him to marry me. They treated us poorly for the first 3 years, but Lorne stood up for me and himself. You are strong. You can do this. I just wish your family didn't treat you so poorly. It's just not right. You know what is best for you and I wish they could see that and not try to force you to date someone who is wrong for you. I'm sorry.

Catherine, what kind of gym equipment did you guys get?

Moving! Good luck with that. (It makes me think "AAAAUUUGGGHHH!")

1. We spent $52 at the vet today to get Emily checked out. She goes back on Feb 17 for x-rays and teeth cleaning and possibly an extraction ... for about another $450. It sure is a good thing that she's such a cute orange tabby cat!

2. Tonight for dinner I had (among other things) mustard greens, turnip greens, collard greens, and spinach. This eating healthy is going to kill me..... ugh!

3. My wonderful DH looked cute, but silly, watching Chuck tonight wearing his nifty 3-D glasses.

4. I signed up for Facebook today. Woo hoo, me. Only I don't know very many people on facebook and still don't really know how it works.

5. There was a mousie in the garage this evening ... it jumped out of a large bag of cat food and pretty much gave me a heart attack. I screamed. When I went inside, my wonderful DH (still on the couch) asked "Was that you screaming in the garage?" Of course it was me!!!!! I told him what happened and he commented that I probably scared the heck out of the poor mousie, too. AAAAUUUGGHHH!!!

Nicole YAY!

1. I was very tired this morning and I really didn't want to get up, let alone come to work to freeze...
2. Today I had to cross a very scary road, and will have to do it agian on Thursday but after that I shouldn't have to cross it for a good while and that makes me happy :)
3. I need to get our taxes done and pay some bills today.
4. After lunch time I have to go work at another post office, today.
5. I cried last night, the onions made me... its kinda funny its been awhile since onions made me cry.

Nicole, you're moving again? It doesn't seem that long ago that you were moving. Unless I'm getting you confused with somebody else.

My five things:

1. I have to go to a specialist in the morning for my diabetes. He's not going to be happy

2. I have to go to the dentist tomorrow afternoon for a checkup and see what other work needs to be done

3. I got a fright today as when I was getting out of the car, John accidentally took his foot off the clutch as I was getting out of the car. I got hit in my back and arm and just about ended up on the road

4. I went out to a smorgasbord lunch

5. Didn't need much in the way of dinner

Yes we are moving again. We moved on Dec 1st of 2007, Then June 1st of 2008 and now. We've been waiting for our townhouse to finish being built. We bought it last March so it's almost been a year now. We had to move in June because the owner of the townhouse we were living in for 6 months decided to try to sell it so they gave us like 2 weeks to move out without giving us proper notice. It was only 6 months old so I don't know why she decided to sell it all of a sudden like that. All I know is that it took MONTHS to sell and she lost a lot of money.

So this will be our 3rd move in 14 months. Boo. But yay cuz we get to live in a place we chose!

Harvie, that is one spoiled cat! When my dogs had loose teeth (when they were puppies) I always pulled the teeth out myself cuz I refused to pay for it. They didn't even flinch and didn't care. If it would have hurt them I would have just given them lots of carrots to make them fall out.

Yuck about the mouse! If it's not a pet I don't like it!

Jennifer, are you talking about the road where that poor girl was hit? I've never cried from onions. I always just sneeze lol!

Trish, why won't your specialist be happy? Awwwww, are you ok?

1. At 7pm we are signing our mortgage papers with our lawyer via online video chat. We will then return the camera to get our money back

2. I am hungry and should probably eat something for breakfast

3. I keep feeling worried that our annoying landlord is going to email me again. He has stopped calling and is now emailing me asking me to call him back with an answer asap. I always just email him back after taking my sweet tweet time. Why should I have to call him back when he's too lazy to call me. This is his house... I don't care if he gets to show it to people or not.

4. I found out last night that my brother in law and his girlfriend have to move AGAIN after just buying a house in June or July of last year. They were right by the ocean in Texas and now they will be moving up to the Northwest in an area that is flat and dead looking. I feel sad for them, but they chose to live a life like this.

5. I am a bit annoyed with some people at the moment.

Jennifer- how is your dh?

There is a trick to cutting onions that keeps them from effecting your tear ducts, but I can't remember what it is.

Anyone doing the Beth Moore study in Esther? A friend invited me to go with her and it's been such a blessing! Wasn't sure if I should star a thread on it or not.

I haven't done the Esther study but it sounds awesome! I did her study of "David" years ago and it was excellent.

I'm not doing the one on Esther, but I am doing the one with Beth Moore, Kay Arthur, and Prescilla Shirer on the life of David. I am really enjoying it.

My blood sugars are a lot higher than they should be. I thought he was going to have a conniption, but surprisingly, he didn't. I was so relieved. I've been so nervous for days about going to see him. Just waiting in the waiting room, I was starting to feel sick about seeing him. He's a very intimidating guy. The first time, I went by myself. After that, I took John with me. One, he remembers things that I don't, and two, he isn't so abrupt with me when John is there.

Roberta, he is doing good!

Usually I cut onions all the time and never have a problem but the other night they got to me lol I have heard chewing gum will help

Trish glad to hear meeting with your specialist wasn't as bad as you thought it would be.

1. I was suppost to work today but they didn't need me and I am glad it worked out that way, have a lot to catch up on and was able to sleep in and rest for once!
2. I almost have our taxes done but now I need to find some info before I can file so I will get back to them later
3. I am going to attempt to clean up this house today :P
4. I got to go by the pet store and pick up a few things
5. hopefully I will have some lazy time for me after all this and before Chandler gets home :p

I'm glad that John comes with you. So, did he give you any pointers to help you get your blood sugars down?

Jennifer, You need to live near me. It would be fun to go to the pet store together! Yay for no work! And yay for almost having your taxes finished! We haven't gotten all of our paperwork yet. We are waiting for Lorne's work stuff and our extra rrsp, savings and life insurance stuff too. I hope we get it soon.

1. I'm very tired today. I was up till 1 with a sick hubby. Poor guy.
2. My house is a MESS because I am super duper organizing everything so that they all go in the right boxes. So our kitchen is full of stuff, our livingroom has stuff all over the place, our bedroom is a mess and the spare room is a mess. I have piles of stuff like "pet stuff" " crafts" "games" and stuff like that. I want it to be REALLY easy to find things we need. I even packed all of our garbage cans in one box lol!
3.We are moving in 9 days!!!!!!
4.I am very happy that one guy is helping Lorne load up the truck and 3 guys are going to help him unload. That is a huge blessing!
5.I'm hungry, but too tired to think about what I want to eat.

1. Is it just me or are we getting more and more junk mails these days? Sheesh. A mail box full of mail today, with no actual mail in there!

2. I filled bird feeders today. We have a lovely smorgasbord for the hundreds of birdies that visit us each spring. I also cleaned out all three bird baths. Chirp chirp chirp.

3. I thought about doing laundry today, but didn't actually DO laundry. Does that count?

4. Dear Yappy Dog who Lives Behind Us. Please calm your fuzzy little self down, dear. It's just me, filling MY bird feeders in MY backyard in broad daylight. You are going to give yourself a heart attack, little yapper.

5. I've been under the weather for a few days ... so my wonderful DH is making dinner tonight! YAY and Woo hoo! (And Wednesday night means we get to watch Top Chef ... yay!)
