There is so much being taught from the Bible that is not the complete truth. When individuals go to Church they go expecting to receive the truth from their Minister, but are they really getting all the truth? Are individuals getting what God wants them to know and wants them to understand? Is it the responsibility of an individual to determine if what is being taught in Church is true? Is it one’s responsibility to search the scriptures to check and see if what one is teaching is the truth and to not just nod their head in agreement?

It’s true some go to church because they believe that is what is expected of them because they are a Christian. But there is more to it than just going to Church every time the door opens. It is the responsibility of an individual to make sure what is being taught by the Minister is correct. Most individuals go to Church because of tradition, family tradition. Most individuals go to a certain Church because their family belonged to it and as they were raised in that Church, they believe they are obligated to go to that Church. It has been so ingrained into their mind that there is no right way but their way. This is very dangerous for ones salvation.

I believe many would still be crying in heaven even if they knew their loved ones were not suffering in hell, but that they were annihilated. Their grief would be forever.

It seems that Dan has departed but I will still reply to his question for the sake of discussion.

Let me dispell a common misconception by most people whether they claim to be a Christian or not: Hell was not created for human beings! Hell was created for the devil and his angels.(Matt. 25:41) So if you go to hell, you will be an uninvited guest because it was not meant for us. God created heaven for us. He said, " I go to prepare a place for YOU!" (John 14:2)

Most people have a hard time imagining that God would throw anyone into hell because all they know about God is love, love, love. Yes, God is love, but he is also the righteous judge. He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But not everyone is going to repent. Therefore, there has to be a punishment for their disobedience. That is hell.

I find it strange when people give their opinion about God loving people to much to put them in Hell. The only reason they know that God is love is because they read it in the bible. However, that same bible is replete with the judgements of God yet they choose not to believe that.

They are reading the bible with a buffet mentality. I like this part of it but I don't like that part so I won't believe that. That is simply not acceptable in the eyes of God.
