Good point, Rosie!

I just need to learn to trust that even when it all seems to be going wrong, that God can make it all go right...and to keep smiling no matter what happens!

Sad to say, but I know that feeling...although, where those dreams were dashed, God is placing new ones in my heart and they are taking root...which makes me smile!

hmmm...........i havent been able to find the book...... I guess in a moment of haste, my mom asking me, Keep it, or give it.......i put it in the give pile! ohh, well.....lol maybe some one else got something blessed from it!

Something else that has me smiling........as everyone knows, i love children, i love seeing children, i love talking about children, i love hearing children, etc, etc, etc.......
Well, my wonderful little sis, who i absolutely love and cherish, has been working in this job at a shelter for children. (It was my first paid job with kids, many moons ago)....lol Well, even though the moons have changed, soo much is still the same. Well, she has been coming to me for help as in what would u do in this situation, how would u say this, etc, etc, etc. And the advice i've been giving her, she comes back and is like, It worked!!!!!

Yesterday before i left for home, we were having a conversation, and the she said, You would be a great teacher of childcare workers........of adults teaching children. My mouth dropped, kindof as a couple years ago i was taking early childhood classes, and became good friends with the director of the classes, and she said she could so see me becoming an adjunct professor. Back then i hadnt "found" my voice and i was like, You've got to be kidding me!

But, now......things are looking different. And to become an adjunct, all u need to do is take soo many Master level credit classes. Sooo, anywho......just something i'm chewing on, more then the fact that i didnt really believe my professor when she said she could see me doing this. and thought she was being kind! lol

Mainstay, yes....that is trully amazing!

Smiling, cuz i am who i am with all of my quirks and idiosyncracies! (i know major word spelled wrong) lol But......i am happy with me at this present time. Are there things i could do to change.....? a huge Yes! But, i have learned that change for me, comes better, and lasts longer when i am happy with me, then when i am not!

I know this doesnt really make any sense, and i seem to be rambling off........but, just thought i'd share!

May our focus be Him, the author and finisher of our faith!

I'm smiling at my bird, who is throwing her food, even though I know I'll have to pick it up. Though all the pieces are exactly the same, she apparently thinks some are better than others?

Little kids and Easter egg hunts make me smile!

I made 3-1/2 dozen cupcakes yesterday. (2 boxes of mix) All I did was make the cupcakes, the kids iced and decorated *and ate* them.

She's a Quaker :) Maybe some of them aren't perfectly shaped?

She plays with her veggies too ... the blackberry got totally annihilated (gobbled up) but the broccoli I see is mostly on the bottom of her cage ...

Our church service was amazing...God really moved, which made me smile big time!

CR made me smile this morning when we were leaving church, I had these brand-new heels on and it was pouring rain and I was complaining that I was going to get drenched, and he told me to run, to which I pointed out how tall my heels were and he gets this silly look on his face and goes-"Well, my Lady...would you like me to carry you to your truck?" I started laughing so hard...I didn't let him, but it still made me smile...crazy guy?! He did walk me to my truck though...

The fact that I am pretty much OVER SB made me smile too, God is so good and He reminded me that He is the ONLY guy who will NEVER break my heart...EVER!

I was perusing some threads when i came across one that started about asking how can we better help those around us......

Here is one of the ansers......

I too am crunched for money, but I found the alternative was to donate my time at various charity organizations. My favorite one is LOVE INC. (In the Name of Christ), which is a partnership of many various churches and do mean manyyy working together for one cause. I don't know how many states they are already located in, but I do know they are spreading throughout them. They have programs for helping children, adults, seniors, the disabled and also have housing, clothing, food, counseling, furniture etc. programs, too many to list. They are always in need of volunteers, space to store donations and donations themselves, not always monetary ones. I sometimes volunteer just to stuff envelopes and send out flyer's, every little bit helps. When I encounter people beyond my abilities to really help any, I always refer them to Love, Inc.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to mobilize the Church to transform lives and communities In the Name of Christ.

Core Values:

We are Christian. Everything we think, say, and do is in the name of Christ.
Prayer is an integral part of who we are.
We follow Christ's example of valuing the poor and needy.
We value unity of the Body of Christ.
We value transformation in the lives of people and communities.
We value churches living out the two great commandments to love God and love their neighbors.
We value building Christ-like relationships.
We value the connectedness of the Love INC movement.
We model excellence.
We value continually maturing in our capacity to meet people's needs.

Here's the link to their main website: Love Inc.

P.S.
I once help set up a meeting for all the leaders of local churches and have never seen so many pastors of so many de-nominations and non-denominal churches gathered in one place. Each week a different church is held up in prayer.

------------------------------

Smiling at the goodness of God, and the kindness of His people! Def. something i plan on looking into!

I'm smiling because my employer has just agreed to pay for me to take professional accountancy training.

Means I won't be able to switch employers for five years but they're probably saving me about £5-6K.

God is good all the time!
