Have you ever had one of those days where you just can't stop smiling no matter what circumstances arise?

It always amazes me how many Christian's allow their circumstances to smother their joy......than assume those who have joy have no adverse circumstances.........

Yet the bible teaches us that we are to have joy and peace in all circumstances........what causes the disconnect between the truth of what God says and the reality of many Christian's lives? Is it a choice? If so why do we make that choice?

My Casey had to go to the hospital this weekend, during her birthday party, yet speaking to her yesterday she was not sad or depressed missing her party.......she didn't have time to think about what she missed out on because she was too busy showing us all the cool things her hospital bed could do as well as how she could call the nurses station to request to watch any movie she wanted to watch.

I smile when I watch and interact with children............their reality is so much more truthful than ours at times.

lol its always funny listening to people spout off from both side of their mouths......

that makes me smile!

What also is interesting is the judgement going on......maybe if we walked a mile in someone elses shoes, and had all of there garbage on, we would understand why a person is questioning......and instead of asking why they are questioning or throwing them under the bus, we would quietly and compassionatly point them to Christ!

Amazing how that will usually take away the disconnect from a persons life!

I am so thankful I know the Lord and have His joy inside of me.

I am thankful my smiles are not a mask worn to convince myself and others I am happy when in reality I am very sad inside.

I use to wear such a mask.....one I put on for looks only.......after all aren't Christian's suppose to be happy and smiling?

Now I have no need for the mask......

For the Lord has shown me that His joy, peace, and love......His spirit in me........can and does make me smile from the inside out .....

I have found I can still be smiling in my heart even when I may not be smiling on the outside.....

But even cooler I have found my smiles on the outside now radiate from the inside and are no longer just a "christian" mask I wear.

Smiling because joy overflows and makes me smile.

Smiling because for like, the first time in a few months I'm in a really good mood and happy-smiley.

Smiling because of a certain gentleman...hehe.

Samson's post often make me smile as well........which is why I read them.

Hey JC have you been following Hero's tour on facebook?

I was smiling big time last night........the first two weeks of accounting have been a nightmare........I just was not getting it......I couldn't seem to grasp what the questions were asking me to answer..........then, last night, a light bulb went off.........I was like wow it makes sense.........now those frustrating hard problems seem quite easy......yeah.......

Learning new things always makes me smile.

How about others? Do you enjoy learning new things even if they are hard at first?

Aw, that made me smile! Although, I am not ALWAYS happy...I just have learned that I must CHOOSE to see the bright side of life, even when there doesn't seem to be one.

And Joy, I sure have! Those boys make me smile too...LOL! Love their videos, they are positively CRAZY!

Smiling because of a certain young man who told me that I am as beautiful as a summer's night...LOL! He is so funny.

Smiling because I know no matter WHAT the day may bring, Jesus Christ holds every single one of my days! Which is something to smile about.

Smiling...totally had my day last night.
One of the girls I mentor was visiting with my mom at church last night and was talking about all the friends she has made at school this year, and mom told her she was so proud of her. She looks at my mom as serious as can be and goes, "Well, I learned how to be confident and befriend people from your daughter!" I was standing there and I was like, "Thank you so much! That is so sweet to say." And she said she wasn't just saying that, I really have made a big difference in her life. It's amazing to help those teenage girls, but super cool to know that your being there for them actually makes a difference. Makes you feel like God is really working through you to touch their lives.
And seeing Him work in their hearts...now that really makes me SMILE!

The Lord amazes me.

Why does he loves us so much?

How can he love us so much?

Do you see His Hand in your everyday?

Sometimes I get so busy with life I don't notice His presence or His involvement in my day to day normal hourly life.

Until something happens and I have to depend on Him......I have to choose to trust Him.........I have to take "blind" steps of faith trusting Him with the outcome.

Then I am reminded how involved in my life He is.........

And I realize the simple things He did this weekend are no different than the things he does every single day in life.......

The things I take for granted and often don't give Him credit for......

This weekend I was handicapped and couldn't make things happen as they were suppose to happen......

But I didn't need too.......

God made them happen........

Just as he does everyday.......

Whether I notice His involvement or not.

Thank you Lord......for loving me, for loving us, enough that watching us from heaven isn't enough.

Thank you Lord......for being a very real, and very present, part of our everyday lives.

Thank you Lord......for all the smiles as you reminded me how much a part of my daily, minute by minute, hour by hour, life you are.

I love you Lord.........

You make me smile.

Tonight my kitty is making me smile... she's such a Ninja. I just watched her swat high in the air at a bug... and catch it!!! She proudly looked at the tiny bug now in her paw, then looked over at me as if to say "Did you see what I just did?"

From 1915, a WWI marching song:

Pack up your troubles in your old kit-bag,
And smile, smile, smile,
While you’ve a lucifer to light your ****,
Smile, boys, that’s the style.
What’s the use of worrying?
It never was worth while, so
Pack up your troubles in your old kit-bag,
And smile, smile, smile.

I had a big smile the other night...

I was standing outside admiring the stars, it was a gorgeous night, the sky was completely crystal clear and since we live in the country...there are no street lights to dim their beauty.
As I stood there amazed at how the God of the Universe not only put each and every one of those stars in place, He also knows when one of them falls from the sky, He literally holds up the stars in the sky. As I was trying to get my mind around that fact, the cool fall breeze blew my hair gently away from my face and it was like the Lord whispered to my heart..."If I can hold all those stars in the sky and you mean more to me than all of them, why do you have so much trouble just trusting me to bring the right guy in your life at the right time?" It made me smile as I realized how silly it was to worry about stuff, when the maker and the holder of the stars holds ME in the palm of His hand and has no intention of ever letting me go.

That's one great reason to smile, too.
