No. When I'm looking for reading material, I go elsewhere. I come here to learn about writing.

I'm with Kathryn on this. I don't come in this folder (Writers Roundtable) merely for leisurely reading. I come here to help others with the craft of writing and to be helped with my craft of writing.

kisstheson, I'll read it if you want feedback.

i don't even know what "biblical fiction" means...

fiction

  • about the Bible
  • based on the Bible
  • supporting biblical principles
  • illustrating/illuminating Bible stories (kinda like the Hebrew midrash? wait... is that the right word?)
  • using Bible people as characters

any and all of the above (and more)..... i suppose.

Have you ever read a person in from the bible and wondered about their lives? Maybe they only get one paragraph in the bible, but still something about them stood out? Like the woman at the well. what was her name? Who was her family? What happened to her? One can check history books to see if there was any mention of her, or create a story based on history about her. It's very interesting to read those books.

They're some of my favorite Christian fiction books to read. Just finished one recently that is a fictional supposing of Esther's diary.

Yes, sometimes. I think about the woman at the well all of the time and the woman with the issue of blood. I would absolutely love to know more about these two women - they are two of my favorite people in the bible.
