My kitty is all discombobulated with hospice in the house right now - we've got people in an out 24/7. Since she has a tendency to want to bolt out the front door when it's open (she DID and ended up out all night), she is locked in my room throughout the day until I get home, then I feed her and we stay in the room. I'll let her out to roam at night, when there's not so much traffic. Poor thing - she knows something is up - just not too sure what. At least she's a very social kitty who likes to be with people, but there are times............

Yeah, in general cats do not do well with change.

Sorry to hear that things are at hospice stage, Mutiny- it's tough to go through.

Munchie is due to go for her annual check up soon. She gets so angry when I put her in the carrier ~ and then, as I walk through town, she cries pitifully and I just see all these people looking round for a cat and not seeing one! I've been asked a couple of times what has happened to her because she sounds as though she's in so much pain!

LOL! Macy is exactly the same way! As soon as she goes in the carrier she starts wailing. Cries all the way to the vet, but goes small and silent as soon as we arrive. Upon leaving she starts up again, all the way home. When I finally open it to let her out, it actually recoils she bolts out so fast!

(When I picked her up the day after surgery she actually started meowing as soon as she saw me. Talk about a warm fuzzy feeling! )

My best friend's toms are like that a lot... so much so that she calls them "puppy cats"!

I just sent my sister a cat jelly mould. She wanted a bunny rabbit jelly mould and I found one, but couldn't resist the cat one too...

She's getting a kitty soon (hopefully) and until then, the jelly mould will have to do!

Just wanted to update and thank everyone who prayed for my kitty. Macy is doing much better. She recovered nicely from the surgery and it seems to have done the trick - she's piddling perfectly normal now. Praise the Lord!

I only pray now we can keep the problem from recurring. (They need to analyze the stone that was removed to know how to tailor her diet.)

-Robb

I had dinner tonight with a Schnauzer owner. When she hadn't eaten all her meal and wasn't asking for a doggy bag, I inquired if she let her dog eat people food. "Well," she replied, "My dog has kidney stones, so she's on a very special diet."

What we pet owners won't do for our fur footed friends.

Actually they are a bit "more mature", , and they are spayed... they just think love is in the air, I think .

And elderly woman was sitting on her porch petting her cat. As a good responsible pet owner she had ha dteh cat neutered a good while before and he was much more gentle ever since.

As she sat there thinking she heard a loud vocie say "Three"

While wonderingwhat that was she just absent minded said "I wish I was young and beautiful again"

POOF!

She was 25 and drop dead gorgeous once again.

She heard the voice say "Two"

Wow! she said "I wish I was rich"

POOF! Her small house turned into a huge mansion on a vast estate.

She heard the voice say "One"

"Now I wish that this cat was a handsome young man in love with me"

POOF!

And the voice said "Done"

Her now young man swept her up in his arms, caressed her face with one hand and leaned in close and whispered "I bet you wish you didn't have me fixed"

Have I told you all the story of the Girl's cat Rascal?

When mom and dad still lived at the other house I left early in the morning after dropping the Girl off and heard this little plaintive mew.

I looked and saw this little nose in the bushes. Turns out it was about a 3 onth old kitten.

Well the Girl immediately adopted it and named it Rascal.

Rascal is a little girl kitten.

Time goes by and the folks move and Rascal becomes a young lady cat. Well maybe young lady isn't the right way to describe her. Maybe wanton floozy is better.

So we notice that she's getting large around the middle. Yep preggers.

Friday she had six kittens. The Girl is just beside herself with joy and really wanting badly to hold them. Rascal has turned into quite an attentive mother and is taking good care of her babies.

Now if I can just keep them out ofthe Girl's hands for a while.

And what exactly is wrong with this or this? Kids love it when jelly is turned out looking like a bunny rabbit and my sister's grand-daughter is going to love them. Actually, my sister's youngest daughter (she's 17) is going to love them!

Jelly tastes really good with a shot of vodka in it too!

The big pond does us in again.

In the US those are called Jello or gelatin molds.

Jelly is what you spread on your toast or biscuits.

And you were talking about cat jelly and bunny jelly. I know that the foods over there can be somehat different than they are here, but do you really spread juiced and sugared cat on your biscuits?

We used to make Jell-O moulds at Easter with eggs and use vodka...very yummy!!!

But that has nothing to do with pets so carry on.

You two have got me crackin' up!!!!!!!!!

I knew aga was talking about gelatin (the "moulds" part gave it away), but I was waiting for someone to jump on the "jelly" issue.

*SNORT!!!*

Johnnnno, you need to post photos of the Girl's kittehs. I need some vicarious fur therapy!

Yes it does... I sent my sister a cat jelly mould until she gets a real kitty cat... just so she gets used to having one around you know?

Of course, it did!

Even when one knows what is being talked about puns just need to be used when the opportunity presents itself.

You're kidding, right? You had enough vodka left over to put in the Jell-O?

And just for those of us who really need a recipe, how does one go about making Jell-O with eggs? I usually use gelatin and water.

And so we're on topic.... do you feed this (either the vodka, the gelatin, or the eggs) to your pets?
