Wow man, that's like....my passion! To see my friends be on fire for Christ! Which, unfortunatly, is a big undertaking to show yourself a worker unashamed these days....
Gah, I have so many thoughts on this subject. I guess my testimony has something to do with why I wish teenagers would get the fact that you CAN be godly and be this young!
My testimony: I was raised in a "Christian" home, meaning I was brought up with the knowledge that God saves people and loves me and blah blah blah....
But it wasn't until I was about 11 or 12 that I realized what that meant...
Even then it wasn't like it is now (my faith, that is). God has taught me A TON these last few...months (actually, weeks would probably be more appropriate). I've been learning who I really am, and who I'm supposed to be.
Most of you know that I'm taking the Word to my streets these days, because that's what God's told me to do. I mean, I had the offer of going to Costa Rica this summer with my mom and sister....but I know I can't now, because my calling is here. Now...in my neighborhood. I, Rebekah (or MainstayNut), am called to be who I am here around my house - a evangalizer, unashamed and saved by the wonderful grace of God. I don't deserve it, I mean, what have I done? What have I done to receive God's love and His promise of always being with me? Nothing...I am but a filthy rag (even then that's a pretty nice description) compared to God's power.
I only recently found one of my biggest spiritual gifts was evangalism...but since I have, it has come out: that side of me I never knew I had. And having just gotten to finally witness to someone this weekend, I can tell you: that's what gives me joy. Talking to people about who I am, and Jesus.
Well.....I'm rambling now, but anyway, I wish all my friends would live for God...just knowing how hard it is to these days (I am, in fact, 15...haha) I see why many don't. But the fullfilment of Jesus is far more than anything we conjure up...like drugs, alcohol, or even things like cutting and suicide.
So yeah....cool beans indeed humbleinspirit!

Awww....you're so sweet Matthew! Yeah, I'm happy jesuschick247 talked me into coming here too! Since I'm not doing too many extra-curricular activites this semester, I don't get to see many of my friends....but I've got some new ones - here!

Thanks for sharing your testimony Mainstay, to be a Christian in this day and age takes a lot of boldness and strength. The culture is very post Christian these days where people do not even believe in God. Keep up the faith and the good work! The harvest is plenty but the workers are few!
