I like the Gatlinburg one,but more of the hiking up there. Now if I had a woman who like that kind of thing (but its not REAL hiking, but good fun) I would do that and its not expensive and doable.

As for as "money not an issue"

Im up for anything
Places of interest
Rome, Wales (country), Ireland, Scotland, Caribbean islands, AUSTRALIA (caps for a reason) South Pacific (Polynesian islands, Bora Bora) Alaska, anything else, and anywhere she wanted to go, I dont care.

I think my fantasy date would have to involve getting off a sea plane at a private island and being greeted by two men in ice cream white suits (one of them very short)

A short man of course. And it would help if he yelled "de plane de plane" before we got there.

I figured as much. . . but the way it read it made me think of a short suit.

Somehow I don't see getting met by two men in ice cream white suits, one of which is high water pants and sleeves three inches too short as a thing of fantasy. (although under the right circumstances it could be downright hysterical)

hmm, a fantasy date - what would this be for reba? i hear she's been tossing that around as of late.

if money...and physics...were no object - why i'd love to travel back in time to the 1860s - charleston - he'd be a blockade runner and i? well i'd be the southern belle of course- take me up and down the street in a buggie and we'll canoodle while the ole' guard whispers and glares. but we won't care.

okay for realzies - any date can be a fantasy..if it's with the right person.

playing checkers, buying vinyl, and going on a photo scavenger hunt - those are the most memorable and most sentimental dates i have had...didn't cost much money. a fantasy date for me doesn't have to be fine wine and bread - pursue me - flirt with me shamelessly, laugh a deep hearty laugh at any of my stupid jokes, hold my hand, steal a kiss - do whatever it is you feel most comfortable doing - show me, tell me, or teach me something - something that will leave me wanting more.

but ah i'm digressing, a fantasy date really only depends on the people going on it - if the people are swell then the fantasy part will work itself out.
-reba.

Fantasy date ideas:

* Build a treehouse together. Or with a group. A treehouse/playground complex big enough for adults to play in WITH the neighborhood kids. And paint it with bright, goofy designs. Fun, fun!

* I like Reba's idea of a photo scavenger hunt.

* This is gonna be extravagant... but we are talking fantastical things here.... Airplane ride to NYC, go to an opening or closing night of a faboo Broadway musical, and then go eat at one of those late-night diners (while still wearing our finery!) and then flying back home.

* Watching my man attempt the caber toss in the Highland Games

* Creating our own homemade ice cream recipe together

* At Christmastime, baking cookies and then going caroling

* He can teach me stuff about tuning up a car... if he's got those skillz

* Frisbee golf.... Would love to learn!

Frisbee golf...I used to play frisbee baseball, but never heard of frisbee golf...sounds fun.

Hmm... how does one play frisbee baseball? And would that be a good date?

So..... you got any good fantasy date ideas? (Other than any you've previously described?)

Frisbee baseball...as much as I can remember...you have teams...one person gets up to bat...throws the frisbee and runs the bases if it isn't caught. Just like regular baseball, though I don't think it makes for a good date.

Well my fantasy date was described a while back in this thread...no expense spared.

But I like the idea of something simple yet meaningful. But I have never been a huge dater...so I don't have much experience with that. It was just lets go tot the bar...and meet up with friends. So dating is still kind of new to me.

Anyone ever tried geocaching? It's a lot of fun if you're into hiking.

How about going on a zipline obstacle course? This one's a lot of fun too.

Let's see....I've tried Ultimate football...which is similar to ultimate frisbee....it's a blast but you have to have a lot of people, so it's not a fun date thing if you want to spend time alone with each other.

I've been to one in the west coast (in Canada). And there's supposedly a few of them here. It's a blast if you're not afraid of heights and don't mind all the challenge of going through an obstacle course when you're up 100 ft in the air, lol.... I loved it.

No I think that would be a great time. It may be hard to make that a first date, but it would be a good date at some point.

I've thought about trying geocaching. . . Are a good pair of shoes and a GPS all that is needed?

Well, I know you need a GPS to locate the area where the cache is located, but you still need to search the area for it. When I went in the spring, we almost left the area without finding it, then, someone decided to do a bit of climbing and found it hidden in one of the caves. I took one item and put an item of mine (I think I gave away an unopened lipbalm).

You can get away with a pair of runners...depending on the location. It was still icy when I went so I was wearing hiking boots.

Im not too big on two men meeting me like on Fantasy island

I also like ultimate frisbee and softball and thought it would be nice to play sports together, do something out of the house, sort of like that hiking thing or the geocaching thats sounds fun. Kayaking, lists could go on forever. I think when it comes down to it, just doing things together, because it never existed in my life yet and ots the one thing I would really like to have. So to me, at this moment its a fantasy.

OK How's this one. An all day date.

Rise early (get going at about 7:00 before the sun gets too hot)

Take a brief stroll through the morning fog in the woods at a nearby state park, Stop to talk and smell the flowers, perhaps take some pictures when the moment is right for them. Stop for breakfast at some little out of the way hole-in-the-wall sort of restaurant.

After breaakfast go grocery shopping together to get the days supplies.

Then off to the boat for a lazy day on the water. Cruise the lake exploring little coves and backwaters, even beaching the boat and exploring interesting shores when the mood strikes us.

(lunch on the boat whenever hunger strikes us)

Cool ourselves with a swim or two, including some snuggle time in the shade of the boat. Let the lifejackets support us while we admire each other's faces and talk.

The time for a lazy afternoon, just reading together, her resting back on me, or even just drowsing as the breeze slowly rocks the boat and the sun gently warms us.

After rest/naptime we'll continue our cruise until the sun goes down, anchoring in some quiet cove and watching the setting sun paint the hillsides in a rosy glow. The stars slowly coming out to play and reminding us that God is with us at all times.

As dusk settles we'd break out our picnic and share some good food, beverage of our choice and perhaps a dance in the waxing starlight.

Then a slow cruise back to the dock with a promise to do it all again next weekend.

(Note: since this is a fantasy mosquito's and other nasty pests are banished from the lake for the duration. Although I've yet to get a bite on the lake I don't want to take any chances)

Have I already answered this.

From highschool: We go to the mall. She wears cut offs. We then see a flick at the movie theatre at the mall.

College: We go to Walmart. She watches me play video games on the video game demos they have there. We eat at the fast food place there.

Now:

We go anywhere or do anything and I realize it is not some fantasy but real life.
