ORIGINAL: christsstar How old are they? both the band and the members? The band formed in 2004. I do not know their ages, however my guess is that they are either in their 20's or 30's.

don't know if you are interested in any of these but here are some... PAX217, Pillar, POD, East West (I think that's the correct name I might have it backwards), ArticleA(they are an indie band you can find them on myspace and their cd Stay Now is at FYE). If you want any worship I would suggest Rebecca St.James, Fusebox, Charmaine, Sonicflood. Also Barlowgirl is also another great band as well as Britt Nicole if you are interested in those bands. Hope that helps.

When I want to listen to new music I like to go to nutsie.com and listen to the Christian rock playlist but then allow it to add other songs that I might like. It's a great way to find new music that you wouldn't have otherwise heard of. They have lots of different pre-made playlists like the iTunes top 100 or you can type in one artists name and then it will fin dmusic similar to that artist. Also, no commercials like regular radio. Try it!

Based on your OP, I would have to agree with the poster (posters?) that recommended Hawk Nelson. How do you feel about Superchick and Barlow Girl? They are pretty popular and peppy... Are you willing to listen to older stuff that will would be new to you? If so, channel your inner 80s and pick up Crumbacher, Altar Boys or Undercover. From the 90s, if you haven't picked a Five Iron Frenzy album, do yourself a favor and rectify that mistake. Ska is what it is, but FIF was so much better than the ska label. Also Guardian's 90s albums "Buzz" and "Bottle Rocket" were upbeat and enjoyable...though Guardian purists pew-pew them. Then again, it wouldn't be me posting if I didn't recommend you pick up a copy of Neal Morse's "Testimony" because it is amazing. He is a progressive rock genius (think Yes/Genesis/Dream Theater) which means he isn't for everyone, but...you never know. You might like it.

If you like worship music, try Kristian Stanfill. And if you want soul/pop stuff with outstanding, Biblical-laced content, try Jimmy Needham.

try Jon Foreman's Season EPs (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer) they are acoustic 3-in-the-morning songs and I find them very inspiring. Even if you aren't into Switchfoot I think you will find these EPs to be extremely different in style. :D

http://www.sparrowrecords.com Try all of those artists. It's a pretty good mix of people like Matthew West to Sanctus Real to Britt Nicole. If you like Switchfoot, though, I highly recommend Jon Foreman's solo project as well as Fiction Family where he pairs up with Sean Watkins of Nickle Creek. Both ventures have yielded some great, unique music.
