It will be material but possible in a form that we cannot at this time understand.

I believe that it will be VERY literal or material! God will REALLY, MATERIALLY give us new bodies! They will be bodies that are MUCH stronger than our physical bodies are now, but they will indeed still be physical! There does seem to be a connection in these new bodies between the power within them and the glory or brightness of God! We will GLOW in response to HIS brightness![sm=halo.gif], just as Moshe (Moses) did!

Consider all these thoughts (which I believe are ALL material):

1. Moshe's face shone after he had been on Mount Sinai with God!
2. So disturbing was Moshe's face shining to the Israelites that he had to wear a vail until the light wore off!
3. When Yeshua` (Jesus) was transfigured on the mountain, He GLOWED!
4. When Yochanan (John) sees Yeshua` in Revelation 1, He is glowing!

Rev 1:13-16
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
KJV

5. When Paul sees Yeshua` in the sky while he was traveling the road to Damascus, the light he saw was brighter than the sun and it damaged his eyes!
6. When Paul is describing our resurrection bodies in I Cor. 15, he likens them to the stars and how they differ in glory (brightness)!
7. When Yeshua` comes He is said to come in power and great glory (brightness)!
8. Paul said we would light up when Yeshua` comes back:

2 Cor 3:18
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory (brightness) of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
KJV

Just imagine how AWESOME it's going to be!

i don't want to get you down
but i believe it is mental

except for a few lines you quoted but even they have a mental meaning

a glorifying light i believe is mental
but i supppose i could change ur mind

but i know too it could be material
but i have the greatest doubts about that and think is a misiterpretation

In a form you do not yet know.

One can not describe such things.

What is important is to trust God, trust in His Love, through the fire.

Shalom, gegeven0szoun9ster.

It's been a month since I last posted, but I got to re-reading some of the old things and realized that I forgot an important point:

The New Jerusalem will be a significant "source" of light for the New Earth!
First, I won't go into all the details, but I believe (based on biblical clues) that the New Jerusalem will descend to the New Earth and land.
Second, I believe that the New Jerusalem is a very literal city that will consist of "semiprecious" gems in a pyramid shape, 1500 miles by 1500 miles by 1500 miles.
Third, I believe that the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the pinnacle, above the amethyst level of the city.
Fourth,

Rev 21:10-11
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
KJV

Rev 21:23-25
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
KJV

Rev 22:3-5
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
KJV

Therefore, the brightness of God and of the Lamb will be a significant source of light for the earth! Not actually replacing the sun and the moon, but the CITY won't have need of them.

Now, in light of this, carefully consider Isaiah 24:23...

Isa 24:21
23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
KJV

The Hebrew can be transliterated as follows:

Yesha`yahuw 24:23
23 V’chaafraah halvaanaah uwvowshaah hachamaah kiy-maalakh YHVH Ts’vaa’owt b’har Tziyown uwvi-Yruwshaalaim v’neged z’qeenaayw kaavowd:
PC Study Bible V5 Interlinear Bible

The words "chaafraah" and "vowshaah" were translated with anthropomorphism as "confounded" and "ashamed" respectively. However, the words can also mean "'confused' or 'mixed up'" and "outdone" respectively.

Translating with these substitutions will give the following:

23 Then the moon shall be mixed up, and the sun outdone, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

Now, picture it. The sun will be in the sky, perhaps just about to set in the west, and the New Jerusalem will be off to our east close to the horizon. The moon is high in the sky between them and has an interesting phase design, lightened by the sun on one side and by the New Jerusalem on the other! Thus, no longer will the moon be a simple "new moon," "first quarter moon," full moon," or "last quarter moon." Then, there will be MULTIPLE phases of the moon changing HOURLY! It'll be VERY awesome!

In the Messiah's love,

Roy
