We've had a cooling trend here, too! Today, I wore my heavier trisuit for my swim/bike workout. And I didn't get too hot! Tomorrow morning it's only supposed to be 62*.

narnia--hope you are feeling better. My energy level is back but I still have a nasty cough.

I haven't heard from ds1. That's fine! They finally got photos up today from the last couple of days. I posted some of ds1 on my running site: http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1504793#post1504793 .

His,
Glad you are feeling better. My pressure is better but I still have some energy problems. And our a/c worked well last week but does not work today.

My blessing said her head hurt her this evening, Hmm...cause I want us to go swimming tomorrow.

At least the temps are going to be 90's and not over 100. It is already 83 inside the house now.

I am glad we saw the baby, too. I know how easy it is for some kids to escape. We had one gs who could undo a chain lock with a broom and get out. He was about 2 at the time. I had to lock the broom in the laundry room so he wouldn't get out.

I think I need vacation! I know, IT'S MONDAY! We have been running around all weekend. The city was having the annual Thumb Festival.
The 2 car dealers in town got together and set up a tent in the Kmart parking lot. All of Graff's (Chevy) cars were on one side and Tubbs Brothers Ford/Chrysler on the other.
Dh wanted a little, green convertible from the Chevy dealer. He said it would be fun to drive around in.. I told him that I needed to dye my hair blonde before we put the top down..
I went over to the Ford side to look at the pickups. We saw a nice one but one of the salesmen was going to take someone for a test drive in it. Then Dh found a Durango. Here's the picture.

We went to the dealer's office and almost bought the Durango. I happen to mention that the truck the man had taken for the test drive looked nice, too. The lady said that it wasn't sold yet and that the man had to take it to show his wife. ( She knows Ds because he went to school with her son last year at the Christian school. ) I told her to pray the wife says no. Then Dh said he wasn't really sure about the Durango.
The next morning gs and I went back up to the car dealer. We saw a nice F 250 Lariat Diesel 4WD. It only had 13,000+ miles on it. They wanted $31,000 for it.
Then we saw a Black truck. Guess what? It wasn't black, it was the green one. I guess it depends on how the sun shines on it.
We went back and told gs that the truck was back. To make a long story short, we bought the Silverado 4 WD, extended cab. OK, I have to admit, I reminded Dh about the times we got stuck with the Dodge truck on a few inches of snow. He was the one pushing it out.
Ds came home and saw the truck with the Tubbs Brothers plate in front of the apartment. He didn't say anything because he thought the people next door had it. THEN he saw the keychain. And said, "Is that ours?" Everyone ran outside. AT first, he thought we bought it for him for his 16th birthday. I told him that we didn't but that he could take it to college in 3 years. We should have it paid off by then.
BTW, I think the Durango is still for sale-if you can get it away from the salesman that's driving it! It has 3 sets of seats and one of those flip down DVD players.....

His - looks like ds1 is having a good time! Glad you have some energy back, but those nagging coughs are awful! Praying it goes away soon!

Narnia - praying you feel all better soon & your a/c works!!

Congrats on the new truck purchase Judy! The Durango did look like a pretty good deal too (quite a few miles on it though)!

Well, it is really quiet here. Dd is at camp. Dh is at work, and ds is watching old cartoons (so only the music from the 3 little pigs is playing)! It's hot, but not HOT!!! today, if you KWIM!

I've got to go pick up sandwich meat. Dh used all my tutoring money to put gas in the van. Some friends invited us to dinner in the next town over to where we will be staying. So it looks like pretty much all this little get away is going to cost us is for the gas, which is good, because that's all I had left from our budget. The hotel has dinner included on Tuesday's and breakfast every morning. We don't like dh traveling, but this is a perk when our family can go with him virtually free.

I am at a campsite, in my tent, posting on the internet. It seems really strange!

Yes I do feel better. The sinus pressure is gone. Still am hoarse, have some coughing and some nose stuff, but am much better than I was.

Our a/c is fixed too. If it wasn't we have friends of ours that have a window unit we could have borrowed.

I do, I do!

Ellie,
I think that would make a great picture- in the tent on the 'net.

Even took my blessing swimming this evening. She was so happy.

Narnia, glad that you are feeling better, and that your a/c is fixed. Ours is not working, because the tray that it is sitting in (in the attic) is rusted thru so the water drains into the tray and then it drips onto my pillow!! We used it once, and there was a puddle on the bed/pillow. So, we shut it off and fortunately it was only hot for that one day. We also have window units, but the landlord should fix it.

I started my period with no migraine! (yay!) I have had a headache a couple of days, but nothing major. Maybe the meds are helping. Plus I am starting some supplements which should help, and hopefully I can get off the meds eventually.

Ellie-Mae--sigh... only you... Brings back memories of the FOT when we sat around your kitchen table chatting. Oh, not you usual chat, mind you. We were chatting online.

misaham--that's great news!!! Sorry we couldn't hook up last weekend, but I guess it's for the best. You really don't want this cold.

We are down to ONE KID!!! Ds1 is on the bike tour. Ds2 and ds3 are at Cedar Point for the day with the youth group. Sounds like a perfect time to take ds4 out for dinner! Like maybe we can actually eat out for under $20?!?!?!? Oh!!! And I have a $25 gift certificate for Bob Evans!

Zoe - CONGRATS on being all finished!! I bet it feels good!

His - I'm so jealous! I miss Bob Evans!! We don't have them out here! Have a nice dinner out with ds4!

Mercifully, it is less than 100 degrees today.

And my living room, dining room and kitchen are finally painted.

I think about how unsettled my life was this time last year and I am so grateful for the kindness of God.

I'm happy you have no headache, misa! And that narnia's cold is better. And that his is enjoying her son ds4 as in individual for a bit. And happy that zoe finished up her year-end requirements.

Actually, I'm pretty happy all around.

No you don't!

Sorry your a/c doesn't work misa, but glad it is not so hot you need it. I am thankful mine stopped this week as opposed to last week.

The last year for Zoe for lots of portfolio paperwork..yay!

Enjoy your only child for the day, His! And enjoy dinner too.

I am so happy to be done with this year. I was feeling so stressed about getting it done this year. I know we are lacking in the language arts department this year. I usually try to be done before Mother's Day.

I am SO tired... between the low BP and having my period, it is like all of my energy is completely sapped. I have so many projects that I want to do... All I want to do is nap.

Oh well... I guess I will just try again tomorrow. When does that procrastinators club meet again? I put the memo somewhere...

misaham--I think it's tomorrow. I'll look for the memo later.

I, too, am totally drained of energy. I had a swim this morning. It was in the fishbowl. Indoors. I swear it's a sauna in there. And ti's like swimming in bath water! I had to quit early as I was so hot I was getting light headed. Fainting in the pool didn't seem like a good idea. I did have a decent ride. It was a nice cool 65*.

Mom called this afternoon. They are on a cruise in Alaska. Before they left Dad tore the muscles in his upper arm. He went to the ER, then orthopedic surgeon. Not much they could do, just let it heal on its own. He was cleared to travel. His arm started swelling up big time so finally Dad went to the ship doctor. He has an abcess. They drained 250cc's of puss! Ew! Yuck!!! The did IV antibiotics as well as oral. He's doing okay, but certainly NOT waht they wanted to deal with on vacation! This is a trip they have wanted to take for a long time.

HOw awful to finally have the cruise of a life time and be sick. :( I hope that he is feeling better quickly enough to enjoy themselves.

As for me, I am sitting somewhat near the campfire watching the kids play while surfing the net. This is about the only thread that I am posting on until my back is better. any stress and I can feel it in my neck. Some threads can be stressful, and it doesn't take much.

I am so glad that school is done and the reports are in. I hate schooling in NY. Now that it is summer, I finally feel like we can really get down to learning the way that I want to school them in the first place.

We went bowling today with Zoe's old science teacher. I was really thinking of you Zoe. I was thinking what fun it would be if we could all bowl together. I was also thinking that you guys would probably kick our cans at it too!

The procrastinators club meeting has been put off till this weekend.

We got a boatload of rain in this area yesterday - not so much at my house, but lots of streets in Erie were totally flooded. More than a few of our friends from church were having to pump out their basements.

His, your parents will never forget that trip, for more than one reason!

I think all the craziness of the past month is finally catching up with me. I've been really tired lately, and I can't seem to get motivated to do much more than sit at the computer. I even ended up calling the school superintendent and asking for an extension on the deadline for portfolios. I didn't call the evaluator last week, and so we didn't manage to connect with each other. I'm sure I probably could have just gone to the place we usually meet and found her there - I am not her only client who brings their stuff in on June 30. There wasn't a problem with giving me a few more days, though, so I didn't go. We'll catch up with each other over the weekend and I'll drop the stuff off Monday.

Cindy, I've been tired this week too, and have no excuse for it. I even took a nap yesterday-that's something I never do unless I'm sick, but I don't feel sick, just tired.
