Lisa, it's June. I actually prefer this weather to toooo hot toooo early! Praying for Melissa. Hannah showed me a tooth that is hurting her last night, and she has not been eating much for a few days, so we're off to the dentist today. And the zoo, of course, because the dentist is right around the corner. I don't think I've ever taken Hannah to the zoo alone, well, with Esther. She's all excited. LOL

Well, it's definitely summer time warm here...it's already 86 degrees!! In my "Crosswalk" world in the public/private school chat thread, we are in the midst of winter due to our Australian connection!! I had a customer looking for a winter coat yesterday for someone that was visiting here from New Zealand (I assume that they were wanting one for when they returned home).

Kinda dreary here. Not June yet, like Ellie-Mae said. It's 57 degrees and drizzly, but at least it is not 90 and humid! I am waiting for a call back from the doc's office. Need to tell them that I am still taking migraine meds daily, even with the steroids, and daily prophylactic ibuprofen and magnesium... ugh. I am hoping that they will not put me in the hospital to give me IV stuff to break the cycle, or make me do shots at home!!

That's nice, Annie! I think you should name him Cynthia. It's not very common for boys, but it's a great name.

Cindy--you sure you could hit an adult vein? Feeling pretty discouraged right now. We're going down the same road that we've been down before. It never works. So why are we trying it again?!?!?!??!?!?!

Friday night was Shavuot. During service I was told that I turned the wrong way and was too slow during one song..and we were just hanging there. No, we were paused so we could focus our attention on the Lord and direct other people to Him as well. I am not sure why taking a pause to focus on him should cause such distress, but it does. I am not sure why it is acceptable during service to nitpick, not why it is acceptable on a Feast Day to nitpick. Yesterday C asked the song list person for the songs. I did not see the question but the response which led me to believe that she had asked for the songs. I wondered why she was now going to get the songs. Today I get a call from rw telling me r wants to speak with me tomorrow night after practice. I have the feeling they are going to remove me as leader and C will now be the leader. Once again they have told her before telling me. They did not ask me to bring witnesses to the meeting, but I am. I did ask dh and I asked one of the other women who has seen what has gone on with C if she can attend the meeting. I hope she can as I figure that this will be the only time I get to speak my piece. I am assuming that as of tomorrow night, I will be free!

Narnia, I will be praying about the meeting. I cannot imagine how frustrating it must be to have a certain set of beliefs that cause difficulty in finding a fellowhship, yet when you do find one they are full of mean spirited people, which is no fellowship at all.

Thanks Cynthia. I think I will make myself a little outline of points I want to bring up. This way if I get flustered in the meeting I can look at the outline and not forget what points I wanted to make..or get sidetracked from anything they might say.

Misa, I saw this on a website about ibuprofen. quote:
Drug Profiles: Mortrin® Migraine Product Background Active ingredient (in each caplet): Ibuprofen 200 mg Purpose: Pain reliever Use: Treats pain of mild Migraine. It is essential when using NSAIDs such as ibuprofen for head pain that they not be taken too frequently or they can actually cause headaches referred to as "Rebound Headache." For more information about Rebound Headache, see: Migraine Treatment Can Trigger 'Rebound' The Dangers of Self-Dosing Explore Options Arghhhhh! Rebound Headaches! LINK Cindy, what do you think about that? I had a headache that lasted almost a week. I went to the Drs. and he gave me antibiotics. It went away. Ds went to the all night camp out at the school he went to last year. Tomorrow they are going to a picnic and pond but I don't think they are going to swim since it's only going to be 58!

Good morning ladies. This is a day that the Lord has made. Having heard/said that many times, I think I am going to slow down and meditate on that today and thank God for all the good things in my life. Last week of Spanish III for my student. Yay! We have been reviewing a chapter a day and then taking the tests which I did not administer during the school year. As to be expected, the earlier chapters did not go as well as the later chapters. However as we get closer and closer to the more recently studied material, my student is acing it! I am so pleased by this. This is his first year of high school. In all of our previous years, the only things we had weekly tests in were math. Everything else was honestly studied, with the goal of mastery, but I didn't give tests. I didn't need official grades for anything. If I needed a report card for sports, I would just average his daily work for that quarter. It was usually Bs or As. But this year I am keeping better records because he is in high school, hence the need for tests. I didn't realize I had no paper trail until last month, so that's when I ordered the tests from the curriculum provider and that's why we are doing a whole year's worth of chapter tests in the last two weeks of school. Sorry for the long boring synopsis of the Spanish III coursework. I just don't have anyone else to talk about this stuff with.

It is essential when using NSAIDs such as ibuprofen for head pain that they not be taken too frequently or they can actually cause headaches referred to as "Rebound Headache." Cindy and I were just talking about this last night. I am going to stop the ibuprofen, if possible. The doc called in another pain med, stronger, but not a narcotic level pain med and without the rebound headaches. I did not sleep last night due to the steroids. Thankfully I am only taking them for a few more days (four), and the dose is tapering off pretty quickly. The doc told me yesterday that if I take Imitrex every day, I will continue to have migraines every day. Well, if I don't take it, I will end up in the ER with uncontrollable vomiting, etc. I have been down this road before. I get some pretty violent physical symptoms. I can have a headache all day, but when the migraines switch "flips", it takes over my body and I have no choice. She called in another med in place of the Imitrex, but my insurance will not cover it without pre-authorization. I am SO thankful for the awesome insurance that my husband's company offers! These meds are so expensive!
