cool Narnia...Riley is close to several people I know. I (personally) feel more inclined to go there then CO...I think living less then an hour from Paul's step brother would bring his parents into our house wayyyyyyy too often for my comfort. I like the fact that they kind of leave me alone for years at a time...esp since they are very critical of me and pretty much hate me.

My sympathies about the parents. I know what it is like to be criticized for every little thing you do.

Ds is reading this, too. He said your parents sound like Grandma. (his Dad's mother) Need I say more? We live about 70 miles away from her now. It used to be 1000!

Dh was charging a battery outside. The charger was on zero so I flipped the button and it started to charge. Well, the landlord was cutting the grass so Dh brought the charger and battery inside. I tried to tell him that the battery wasn't charged. He said that I was more or less stupid and that it had been charging for 3 hours. Want to know who is going to look stupid when he carries that big heavy battery across the parking lot to the motor home and then back again to charge it?

Sarah, sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now. If I had a vote, I'd go with Riley, boring is better than the other options.

lol...thanks Sue...I tend to lean that way too. I like easy going and boring at times. Wherever we end up will more then likely just be for two years anyway (then he either has to re-up and move, or not re-up and get out and move)

I think I would go with boring, too. There is a city near there that's called Junction City, KS. I found it online. Anyhow they have a Y and pool!!!!
I would move somewhere else that had a good YMCA. The only ones around here would be in the big cities.
Are you going to live on base?

Update on battery: Dh had it in the back of the truck so we drove it to the motor home, put it in and the motor home wouldn't start because the battery was dead!

Never a dull moment... I was sitting relaxing with a nice book. Then, the phone rang. It was ds3's friend. Friend was in a panic. Ds3 was hurt. Okay, where is he?! At Danny's. Well, where is that?! You know, at Danny's! Okay, where does Danny live? On the corner. WHERE?! Finally we got the phone number... Seems that there were three boys bouncing on the trampoline and someone's tooth came in contact with the top of ds3's head. Danny's mom gave ds3 a ride home. Really, it's a tiny little hole but it BLED!

his, ouch! Three boys on a trampoline at one time.. I'd tell him that if he ever goes there again, it should be one at a time.
When we were living in MO and went to get homeowners insurance, the agent asked us if we owned anything like pit bulls, german shepards, pools or trampolines..
Gs did that, too. He fell off the bed and hit the edge of the closet. I thought he was bleeding to death and rushed him to the hospital. It was a tiny cut and the dr was going to put 1 stitch in it and then decided that it didn't need it.

Boring would be good! I could live with boring! But, with four boys, that ain't gonna happen!

Ds1 and ds2 are going to an airsoft event today. I'm not really worried about the airsoft stuff. The event is being held in an old field. There may be rusty farm equipment. You know, rusty stuff... I talked with the friend's mom that is taking them. As long as there are no bones poking through the skin or gushing blood, I'm fine. I mean, they are BOYS. Boys do stupid stuff.

I'm racing tomorrow. It's just a little sprint triathlon. (750meter swim, 14mile bike, 5K run) It's just for fun. I went shopping yesterday and found the prettiest nail polish! I always do my nails before a race. Well, this new polish is the prettiest green. Think John Deere green. Yah!

Oh, and to answer Cindy's question about Kenny and Benny. Kenya used to answer to Kenny. Not any more! She only answers to Kenya, and we have to call her several times. She wants to be sure we are calling her. Benny answers to any high pitched voice. Although, lately he's been hearing a whole lot of "Benjamin!" Yah, the little guy is finding all sorts of trouble!

So the rest of us are chopped liver I guess. I find it odd that you would make a comment that you don't care about the rest of us in a thread that we are all reading rather than sending your thoughts in a private message or an e-mail.

I'm not upset about the comment, but I think it was the word only that made it seem like you didn't care about the rest of us. I did contact you when you first left and you said you were taking a break, so I didn't want to bug you. Also, I've tried to contact you via facebook, but can't. Not sure why, but nothing happens when I try to click on your name in other friends' posts. Anyway, I'm glad you're here and hope you decide to stay.

Thanks Sue. Donna was really the only one that kept asking if I was coming back, so that's why I said "only"...not because others didn't matter, but because she was the only one that asked.

I never contacted you because I was respecting your desire to be inactive for a season. I thought that was the loving response?

Anyway, welcome back.

yup...I understand...and that's fine!!! I am not upset with anyone that didn't contact me. Most people on forums are just forum buddies, and when one leaves you can't expect everyone to hunt you down or track you til you come back and post. A few did hunt me down here or there...and then there was the pest....oh, I mean Donna...lol

So anyway...changing trains....we are pumping out our pool this weekend...YUCKO!!!!!!!!! It is d-i-s-g-u-s-t-i-n-g!!!!!

You hadn't used it yet this year?

Every once in a while I think I might like a pool someday, but I don't think so really, unless we are rich somehow and can pay a pool man. LOL...too much maintenance for me, especially since you can only really use pools 3 months around here. No thanks, I'll stick to swimming in the lake.

I went to my sister's this morning, to clean her house before she came home with the new baby. I'm sooooo glad I did, because her stupid dog made a HUGE mess. She tore apart an entire thing of garbage and spread it all through the house. My sister would have melted into a puddle of tears if she had come home to that!

EWWWWW yucko Donna!!!!! You are such a great sister. If I ever had a sisiter I would want one just like you!!!

Yeah pools are a lot of work, but it is worth it if you are going to use it for a while. Ours is this bad because last year between my pregnancy and Paol's knee surgeries we couldn't do anything to keep it up, so it went downhill fast. So now we are having to clean up several winters worth of junk. The people that put in the liner that covers it during the winter attached it around the pool with these metal bracket/hooks that stuck out of the cement all around the pool. It was extremely unsafe, so we took those out when we moved in. So keeping all the junk out of the pool in the winter proved to be very hard...what we did worked for a while but then the liner fell in the pool and all that junk on top went to the bottom. Anyway...it is just getting warm enough at night to start really getting use out of the pool. A few weeks ago it was still getting down in the 50's at night, and that makes the water wayyyy too cold. We hope to get this cleaned out so that by next weekend we can be swimming.

Tonight we have to go to the church for a practice session...there is a group going through a ministers class and they have to practice doing funerals and weddings and hospital visits, so the pastor thought it would be a great idea to let them practice by doing a play. So they are doing a portrayal of the story of Lazarus and the rich man that both died and one went to hell and the other to heaven. So the pastor's class wrote a play about Sam Rich and Lazarus Beg. Paul plays the arms of Sam Rich as you see him in hell...you see his arms only, so Paul is the arms. The rest of the family are in part of the family of Lazarus Beg...we just have to come in like we are going to a funeral. Hannah says she is going to get stage fright, so I convinced her that she isn't going to be "on stage" so technically she can't get "stage fright"...lol. Anyway, we have practice tonight.

Welcome Back, Sarah!

Lets drop the comments about Sarah's reasons for return. She's explained, twice, so now it's time to move on. Thanks!

We went to the community garage sale at Ds1's. The whole neighborhood was supposed to be selling stuff. Well, we took some stuff down there to sell. I think DIL and I ended up trading stuff. Ds gave some stuff away to the lady across the street. I think they made $4 and we used about 6 gallons of gas. All is not lost though, we finally took Ds2's stereo system to him. One of the speakers is about 4 feet tall. It took up a whole closet.
At least now we have an empty closet!

A note on "boring". When you're young, it's called boring. When you're old, it's called peace and quiet!
Ds and Dh went to church together. (Lately, it seems like that's the only place those 2 can go together without an argument..and yes, they argue going and coming back form church. They pick on each other all of the time and try to find the biggest put down )
I am enjoying the peace and quiet, except for the ceiling fan that is squeaking and those totally irritating wind chimes that the neighbor next door has ringing about 6 feet from our front door!
Someone once told me that people either love wind chimes or hate them. I must be in the " hate them" group!

If you are in a ministry that is using the Group materials, you can write a product review and win a Wii.
