Don't suppose there's any fans of the likes of Russell Watson, Katherine Jenkins, Escala or Hayley Westenra here?

I don't have a lot - I do have a song by Russell Watson and its fantastic. "nella fantasia".. its on a compilation cd.

I haven't listened to classical in a while but I do like to hear some modern singers like Andre Bocelli, etc.

The only modern classical music I've listened to (besides whatever happens to be playing in the background of the movie I happen to be watching) is the amazing works of the minimalist composer Arvo Part. Admittedly, I haven't kept up with whatever he might be doing recently, but in the 90s I was really into him.

I'm a big fan of Steve Reich, and some of the more avant garde classical stuff (Debussy, for example...). I haven't really taken the time (sadly) to really investigate the more modern classical scene. Always seems like what I'm looking for is a needle in a haystack. I will say that "Einstein on the Beach" by Philip Glass is one of the greatest things ever.
