Hi:

First of all, I am not going to say the standard "I'm so sorry for what you are going through." That phrase accomplishes absolutely nothing. You don't want pity, so, I am not going to offer that worn-out phrase.

Although I am employed, it almost feels like I am unemployed since I have almost no money to buy things. Me and my family do not really eat out, go to movies, buy big screen tvs, stuff like that, we simply do not do. I am underweight since I am not getting the recommended 2000 calories a day.

As for solutions, well, that is a challenge. As one who is behind in my bills, nearly nothing in my bank account, I think about Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." (NIV) I wonder how He is going to help me out of this mess. Suffering from arthritis, living in an apartment with mold, underweight, dead-end job, and on and on. I have a spouse and a child...so far, I am nowhere near to the traditional "American dream." I am pretty depressed and feeling hopeless actually.

Anyways, as for jobs...government or perhaps public education (substitute teaching...or full time)...

Interestingly, while millions of hard working people are languishing, looking for jobs that will just put food on the table, Ryan Seacrest, host of American Idol, signs a 3 year deal for $45 million. I applaud him actually, if someone is willing to pay him that much for...for...not sure what he does really that warrants such a generous reward, but anyways, I will not be contributing to his financial success, I don't watch tv anymore...

Anyways...just hold on..try to read the Bible..talk to people in church for potential job leads...

Hi everyone,

My baby is now 1 month old, a beautiful little girl! Wow, I am so thankful for all your encouraging words. I love Jesus so much, and every week He does something for us to show that He is taking care of us. We have been given over $2000 in the last month from people, and I never purchased ONE SINGLE baby item and I have MORE than enough clothes, and baby accessories that I could ever have asked for. I received a free $350 breast pump through my insurance, our medical costs for the baby were close to $20,000 and we didn/'t have to pay a dime, the county covered it all. We have been able to pay our rent on time, we had $1500 paid towards our utilities, and to top it off, my husband flew out to Scranton, PA for a 4 day interview with Proctor and Gamble, all expense paid by the company because they are so interested in him. If he gets the job, they pay for all relocation costs!

I am not too happy about having to move away from my home state and family, but if this is what God wants then I know it is best. In the last couple months I have not worried one bit, I just decided to put ALL my trust in God, and it is amazing that everything ALWAYS gets paid, taken care of, etc. I love God soooooooo much and can't even believe that He loves me so much, I am such a sinner and doubter but He still is patient with me and shows us how much He loves us every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!!

What an incredible testimony! God IS always faithful! We have a similar testimony...I won't go into the whole thing. But, even with my self-employed husband out of work for much of this year, we have been able to keep up with necessities (by the grace of God) and have seen His hand of provision. I know that when these trials happen, they strenghten our faith...and they cause us to earnestly seek His will for our lives.

So happy to hear about the new baby! God bless you and your growing family!

quote:

Trust in God. God will never ever let his children down.

Write down what you want, pray for it and expect an answer. Then keep on praying and thanking God for that answer.

I know I may sound a bit arrogant but, I also know God answers prayers - I write them down and all I can say is God is true to his word.

Amen. Thanks for the encouragement and the reminder.

Shalom
