I'm 67 and like the poster above said you are at the age when there are no end to the questions you have. I would say, unless you know for sure what you want to do, and can find a good school to attend then go for the military. Which brance is really your choice. I was in the Navy, and it was good, I did see some of the world and loved going to sea. However, I realize it's not for everyone, and I did see some unhappy men while in the Navy. Some didn't like bging on a ship, others didn't like going to sea, some didn't like the jobs they were doing. Others were there because they had to be, and were there only to dodge the draft which was up and going when I was your age. Anyway, you have a year to decide. But like mentioned above, get training and in some field that you can use when you separate from the military. Also if you can use the GI Bill do so to go on to higher education. As for the love of your life. Wait awhile on that until you have you feet under you, and are secure in your job, and can provide for a family. Simway
