I am thinking of starting my 4 year old on this. She is very bright but does not know how to write yet. Do any of you have experience with this? Will it be too advanced for a 4 year old? Pre school is too easy for her so I do not want to try before 5 in a row. The only thing she lacks to be able to do abeka level K is writing.

It's been a Loooong time, but we really enjoyed 5 in a row! Ds finished his 1st grade curriculum really early & someone had given me the book, so I did it with him & his (then 3 year old) sister! I don't remember her having any problems with it! They really enjoyed the stories & activities! That's about all I remember about it! Good luck!
