With Favre out of the question for the Vikings, do you think they might make a run at Mike Vick? It's just what Minnesota doesn't need: more bad press. But with their quarterback situation as horrible as it is...I might be a risk they are willing to take.

Or when they play in Pittsburgh, he'll end up coming down with the 24 hr. swine flu and be "quarantined" in his hotel room.

Tavaris Jackson went down with a sprained MCL (thankful it wasn't anything more serious, but it does make Minnesota a legitimate option in the Michael Vick sweepstakes) OTHER PROSPECTS: Cleveland doesn't want him, but they've got enough quarterback issues as it is. New England's been mentioned, possibly in order for Behlichick to use the Wildcat and/or have him as insurance in case Tom Brady goes down again. Pittsburgh: noncommittal

And they have one of the biggest rivalries in the NFL. Although I think it is more from the fans' perspective than the players'.

Former Brown's coach Romeo Crennell said he never understood why fans would come up to him, and say that they didn't care if the team was 4-12, as long as there were 2 wins vs. PIT, and 2 wins vs. CIN. It's the longest running rivalry in the AFC(since both used to be in the NFL, prior to merger). Mangini has said he wants to go with the 2QB's he already has (Quinn, Anderson), although I could see one of them traded(probably Anderson), and they pick up a grizzled veteran for a backup.

It's the longest running rivalry in the AFC(since both used to be in the NFL, prior to merger). I guess the fans have their priorities right! But seriously, if you can't beat a team like the Steelers then you won't make it to the play-offs. Browns fans must be envious of Baltimore since that was essentially the old Browns franchise! quote:

Why would they want to do that? They both seem to have promise. The move to BAL, kind of cooled off my fire in the belly for pro football, and I actually kind of liked(or at least respected) the Ravens organization; Former Brown Ozzy Newsome has done a terrific job there. My brother has season tickets to CLE, but I refuse to go to PIT games, until they start playing better against them; It's way too agonizing to watch them stink up the joint, against the Steelers, over, and over. They (PIT)have truly gotten in their head. As for a possible trade I would say because of money(Quinn gets $5mil, Anderson $4mil per yr I think), and they may need another WR, as Braylon may also be in trouble for the Stallworth incident(and he's hurt already).

Who'd have guessed the Packers would be interested in Vick? Possibly a no-confidence vote with Aaron Rodgers?

I wouldn't have wanted to be in Aaron Rodgers shoes even for his salary. (On second thought, I would!) He had the whole football world looking over his shoulder second guessing every thing he did. Now that is pressure!

Being a Cowboys fan, I live a bit of a rough life here at work. I'm surrounded by Squealers, I mean Steelers, fans and they are merciless in their ribbing. But it's doubly bad on me. You see, I am a Bengals fan, too. DOH!! There! I said it! I'm out of the closet, so to speak. Hey, ya' know something? I feel strangely empowered. I guess admitting that you back a perennial loser is theraputic, in an odd sort of way. I still can't believe that the Bengals let TJ go. He was the one guy who they could depend on over the last several years to give it 100% every day at practice and in the games. Chad 8-5 is much like Randy Moss - he'll dog it on a few plays to "conserve his energy." Now it's up to Chris "Space Cadet" Henry to pick up the slack, although Carson Palmer said that his off-season work ethic has been tremendous. Their draft was pretty good this year, so who knows? They might be OK in a year or so. My Cowboys are a different story. I'm just not sure what to think about them. My hope is that they'll make the playoffs and win at least one game instead of an inlgorious 1st round exit like their last two trips. Maybe Roy Williams can live up to all of the promise he had coming out of college, and Marian "The Barbarian" Barber can keep from tiring out like he did last year - Tashard Choice should help in that respect. Back-up battles are more the focus of preseason.
