istherehope -> newbie (6/23/2009 10:12:18 PM) Hello to all. I am a step-mom to a 9 yr. old boy who suffers from many mental illnesses but the most difficult one of all is "RAD" or Reactive Attachment Disorder. I am just looking for others who may be in the same boat as I or at least in the same body of water. It is very hard to be a step parent to a child with this many issues especially when they push you away and blame you for everything. If there are any other parents of children with special needs out there I would really love to hear from you. I have much to learn and lots to give.
